There are no implications except the cost of the facilities. Didn’t Adams spend two weeks on the running tracks at Horsfall

Won’t go down the PP debate for fear of sidetracking this one, but PP’s philosophy of concentrating on the first team only, is exactly why we had nothing to fall back on when they came to the end of their careers. Nothing coming up through the ranks, no coaching staff, no scouts, nothing. The job Stuart did can’t be underestimated, but PP’s plan was always about the now and not the later.

Two managers have mentioned it - Grayson & Adams. Both of whom felt they were doing us a favour being here and both failed so looking for excuses. The only player I recall is Warnock and he was misquoted as he was referring to his first spell here.

The facilities at Rawdon Meadows are as good as any L2 club, probably most L1 clubs. Not owning them is a red herring used by failed managers and @Fordy117@Fordy117 and the latter is only bothered because it's the only stick he has to beat the club.

I think the training grounds look just great. We may not own them but we have full use of their facilities. If they’re problems, the School have said categorically they will go out of their way to accommodate City. In other words they value our custom and will bend over backwards to accommodate.

Put money on that the training ground we do use is still a lot better than the majority of clubs at this level ...........sod the dour Twit was it the lack of our own training ground that made his teams fooking awfull to watch ????

I'm still waiting for Julian Rhodes' "5 years to get back to the Championship" plan from 2007 to come to fruition...

Although, that was actually a strategy, and arguably one that made a lot of sense at the time to maximise footballing success in a tight financial situation.

We didn't come anything like close to returning to the Championship by 2012.

And quite frankly, a single League 1 Play off Final defeat in 20 (yes, twenty) years (at the end of this season) since we exited the Championship cannot be described as coming close to a return.

What would you class as a proper footballing structure in a L2 club.

Remember we are stress testing his statement .

There were never any coming through the ranks, Parky did exactly what Hughes should have done identified the system and brought players in with a strong mental attitude who could play the system, not sure what you mean with regards no coaching staff no scouts, he did his own scouting with possibly the help of past footballing people he knew and trusted during his career as both player and manager, Steve Parkin was always going to follow his mate as were the likes of Nick Allenby and Lee Butler they were his backroom staff a very closely knit team..
I think if you remember it was Rahic who wanted the likes of Darby, McCardle, Killgallon. Vincelot, etc out, yes Parky's plan was all about now as we never had enough money for him to go any other way, he knew what money was available and needed to be spent on first team players to make us stronger, we'll never know just how long that could have continued as Rahic brought that to an early end after his first meeting with Phil Parkinson.
With regards Stuart he took us one step further than Parky did and I'll always be grateful even though we lost to Millwall in the final, but Parky left Stuart with a very competitive bunch of players especially having a decent keeper center half and striker which we did in Colin Doyle, cracking full backs in Stephan Darby and James Meredith plus Tony McMahon, a wealth of experience in midfield Romain Vincelot, Timothee Dieng, Mark Marshall, Alex Gilliead, Billy Clarke,Jimmy Hanson, he added the likes of Jordy Hiwula, Nicky Law, Alex Jones, of course we had to ask West Ham if we could bring Josh Cullen back which the lad was more than happy to accommodate Bradford City turning down a loan move to Bolton Wanderers and Parky down in preference to us.

So you are saying if the club bought the ground for £10m it would increase the value of the club by £10m?

Also what extra commercial income could be generated by us owning the ground? We already have the rights to all income generated from the ground etc.

If I remember, Parky had Tim Breaker as head of recruitment later on when we were in League 1.
Parky got stung at Hull, bringing in younger players and then he was out of a job after 6 months. Experience was key for him after that.
At the end of season awards, Stuart publicly thanked Parky for leaving him such great pro's such as Darby & McArdle.
They were commended for how good they had been around the group, whilst not in the first team.

Edin couldn't wait to play his own version of Football Manager and got rid of good pro's. Then overpaid for the likes of Anthony O'Connor on 3 year deals.

Yes It will be interesting to see if Wrexham do get to league one or possibly the Championship will Phil Parkinson still be there, without doubt he is a good manager at league one and two level but if I remember correctly he struggled once he managed a teams in the Championship.

That interview with sparks biting to the reporters attempt at fishing just make him look like an even bigger bell end than I thought he actually was. And he looks like he’s on his way to a soup kitchen, the scruff

If that is the case, he should do the right thing and resign his position. I’d never EVER give an employer the satisfaction of my mental health suffering
