Absolutely spot on. The things he highlights is nothing more than deflection on his part. Yes each of those elements might be true and less than ideal. However, what he fails to acknowledge - despite these financial commitments and lack of owned assets - is the fact he was still provided with excellent training facilities to prepare his squad, he was still given one of the biggest budgets to assemble a promotion challenging team and had the advantage of a large passionate fan base to back the team.

He failed to capitalise on the latter two benefits/opportunities and that lies firmly at his feet. Suck it up Derek, you failed! Assembled a poor squad, played poor football and had such a abrasive manner that fans would not get onside with you. Reflect and learn from your own failings would be my message to him.

 

He's a nob and his awful playing style and attitude didn't suit us but this ownership hasn't provided a manager the means to succeed apart from playing budget - which is stumped up by the fans

 

It only works with and alongside season on season progression success, ie promotions . If it stalls the plan has no alternative. I also believe it’s been put together by a consultancy company and not put together by the club.

You may not remember but MKD had a similar plan when they stole Wimbledon FC ? The entire concept was based upon getting promotion to the Premier League within 5-8 years, 30,000 crowds etc etc. We know what happened to the plan and we know what happened to their club finances to this day.

He had a succession plan ……They are now in the same division as ourselves, losing, as a football club, £10,000 a day.

A classic example of a club with a plan that didn’t work if just like County’s , they dont have a plan B , if plan A stutters to a halt, it merely collapses into bankrupcy or financial struggle.

Sparks may or may not be the right man for the job, but an ex employee calling out him and how the club is run in public, especially one who was totally responsible for results on the pitch, is classless.

I wouldn't expect anything less though of such a classless, narcissistic individual like Adams. When a manager leaves, 99.9% of the time they shut up and get on with their new job. This idiot clearly likes to blow his own trumpet and in the long term his behaviour will be the reason he never gets to manage above L1 level.

Of all the previous manager's and players, we've had, Adams (and Josh Wright - another narcissist) are the only ones that I genuinely would love to see begging outside a shopping centre with a cardboard sign saying homeless and hungry. I wouldn't give either of them the steam off my p*ss.

Anyone remember Stuart's last tenure?

God, he signed some poor players. I was convinced he was trying to do everything on the cheap again, which he'd done before and failed at, but I remember having a feeling he wasn't really assisted in the transfer market and didn't have too many contacts in the game to help him out.

I can't imagine Derek Adams is on speed dial with many managers if Stuart wasn't.

This is why you need a team behind the manager behind the team.

I have more sympathy with Derek for failing than I do for Hughes - although I much preferred Hughes, and thought he was treated like shit by our fans.

Don't blame him, he's done a very good job with Morecambe in very tough circumstances and now a chance to go back to Scotland.

Derek no swearing no drinking no smoking failed to get City up and failed to keep Morecambe in L1 but gets a go in the Scots Premier.

Well, Ross County do own their ground and training facilities so makes sense for ol' Derek........
