Mind boggling, surprised teams don’t learn from Gary Rowett at Birmingham, McCall at ourselves etc.

This is what I don’t like about the short term deal for Bowyer. It creates unrest from the start. The summer isn’t too far away and we don’t know who the manager will be or what division we’ll be in. One of those is 100% in our control.

 

Yeah read that on BBC website. Luckily he's not been hospitalised so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Sacked?! Ridiculous decision.

 

I wonder if Darren Moore had been sacked a week earlier things may have been different at City in terms of the manager?

 

He could have a ten year contract and people wanting to cause unrest will. He could have a ten year contract and resign tomorrow so no, not 100% control. Don't know why everyones getting so hung up about the contract length.

 

Given that they are going to end up in the playoffs whatever happens, surely he has as a good a chance as anyone else to get them promoted.

To give some perspective the club financed keeping the majority of what is a Premiership squad and as such expected to go back up in the Auto spots, They are worried at the prospect of the huge financial hit to the club if they fail and have pressed the panic

 

My in laws are all Albion fans so I keep an eye on them. IIRC they shifted some of the big earners on, Jonny Evans for example, and the players had a relegation pay cut in their contracts. They also have a pretty full ground each week but the wage bill is huge and the owner doesn’t want to fund it like most Championship clubs need to be, he wants them to be self sustaining, but they’re in trouble if they don’t go up because the wage bill will be bigger than the parachute payments.

Didn’t the quotes say “at least until the summer” meaning there’s a possibility it could be extended.

There’s a lot of uncertainty around at all levels, so until the owner and Julian know what they’re doing, there’s no point handling out 2 year deals when the next guys may want to bring in their own man. If they hang around and we manage to stay up, I’m sure he’ll be given an extension.

I don't mind "former city winger Andy Kiwomya". He gives decent insight, and always wants us to do well. Same with "Former city captain and legend Gary Jone". Always good to hear it from a former players perspective, and always great to hear them both losing it when we score/win

 

One of the best Centre backs we have ever had at the club. Get well soon Bruno.
