    Don’t want city to get involved in off field Skullduggery except for the odd cheeky ball boy. However I do think we need to follow other teams lead when we are hanging on and trying to see a game out. A few feigned injuries and the like wouldn’t go amiss

    Makes the victory all the more sweeter when you hear about the pre match shenanigans.

    As for dark arts football I seem to recall a certain Joe Jordan when managing Bristol City "doing us" in a league cup quarter final.

    No one will beat tranmere at our place a fair few seasons back. Ronnie moores lot… alledgedly their player had bet on him being sent off and nearly killed one of ours with a tackle. Very bad tactics all game.

    I had a peruse of the Stevenage forum and they are accusing Hughes of exactly this - using the "dark arts" by apparently (without any citation whatsoever) influencing the referee at half time :joy:

    Crikey, if that were possible, we'd win every home game 100 %!

    How the hell would a manager influence a ref at half time.
    If you approach them as your leaving the pitch or in the tunnel to rebuke them, you are more likely to make them go the other way with decision. Its human nature.

    We did it a couple of times after Walker scored, Nevers for example went down for summat & nowt. We also had some decent game management at Mansfield away. Fantastic to finally see some game management and shithousery, for us rather than against us!
