I agree with you just let him get on with his game.
If the management deem there's a problem let them deal with it but quite honestly I think T&S are more than happy with Danny Rowe's input from managed minutes on the pitch.

What is failed to mention is that he’s 32 years old, yet still apparently tactically inexperienced. There was a comment from PP about Dylan Motley Henry being a good player with a bad football brain. I see no difference from Rowe. Seems the fact he doesn’t know how to play a certain tactic is hampering his career. As the article states, Cook is asked to play the lone striker role, and he sticks to it both positionally and mentally. This is why he’s the starting player and is in a decent run of goals. He could quite easily sit and sulk if things don’t go his way, but he doesn’t. He gets his head down and does what the managers ask.

Will be interesting to see tonight what happens. More and more baying for two up front to start.

Yes, but we haven't got Callum Cooke around him at the moment, and are having to play a tactic to cope without him....which seems Rowe can't adapt to. Andy Cook has. That's what I meant by footballing brain. As I stated, Cook has stuck to the role given to him (and he's also had balls flying at his head and 6 foot over it) and has still got goals. Rowe gets impatient and comes deep to get the ball, unhinging any game plan we have (I know I know...we have a gameplan right?).

I think what you're really asking, is if the managers are brave enough to change the entire system to fit around Danny Rowe? Perhaps that's the question Oldham had also. I suppose we have the answer to that, because Danny Rowe is now a Bradford City player.

Don't get me wrong - there's certainly a player there. He's got great feet and good vision. I'm just wondering if his temperament is suitable to adapt to a system where he's not the number one channel to feet. Something our management seem a bit cautious about.

This is a puzzle to me. With few full games under his belt for us, he's largely been a bit part player but Rowe has scored 5 goals from 789 mins of game time - a little less than 9 full games worth. Similar to Cook's strike rate but certainly not as good as Novak's. For somebody who we recruited but apparently either creates dressing room problems or doesn't fit 'our system', (depending on who currently has the insider knowledge ;) ) that's quite impressive. And now another club whose intention is to play us next season wants him as a striker. Is it that he just doesn't feature in T&S's plans?

Good luck to him. I'd probably want to leave if I was him too.

Back where he belongs then in national league where he has spent all his career didn’t hold down a place at Oldham and couldn’t here. He has good natural ability but all the ability in the world is no good without a bit of effort to go with it.

If he is on his way then the best of luck to him.Its obvious T&S have there favourites,Clarke/Evans,who would always get picked ahead of him,no matter how badly they played,so he is better off out of it.If Mansfield take Cook back,we are left with no genuine strikers in contract for next season.

It's almost 3 months ago since he first played for us. You questioned 'months ago' why we signed him. Why do you think a combination of Turnbull, Sparks, Trueman and Sellars didn't have your insight?

There's obviously a lot more to this than is being reported. I've read the spiel from Trueman tonight in the T&A and take it with a pinch of salt. My feeling is, if the deal goes through, there'll be a sigh of relief at VP, much like when Vaughan left. I'd guess due diligence was lacking, in the rush to sign him. When will we ever learn?

Yes he couldn't sign for another league club but it's different for non league
Rule was changed the season before last
5 goals in 9 games (not all started) ain't a bad record in my book
Dropping a division just to get out of VP seems a bit extreme so something is amiss
Will be seeing him and what we are missing next season
    Good Luck to him

In my eyes Rowe actually brought very little to the team other than a powerfull shot, and if we continue with this formation , under the managers , his game time will be limited again next season . He is 32 years old and played less than 1 season at league 2 level , i think we can and will get better. Oldham did not try to keep him and neither have we.
So i have had a word with myself and still believe my opinion to be reasonable , it may prove to be incorrect ,but that is football and no one knows how it will turn out.

Cook may not be here next year Mansfield would be mad not to take up the optional year left on his contract
That would leave us with an injury prone Novak and thoughts of giving Clayts another year
Recruiting better in the summer is looking like a must or it will be another season finishing mid table which is a success according to one of our posters on here

Oh i'm not fussed he's gone, you need to offer more to a team than just a cannonball shot. I did say on here a month or two back that Rowe would not be the guy to get you promotion, i even questioned where the goals were coming from to win games. Very few agreed with me.

All those who thought Rowe could play instead of Callum Cooke. As Delia would say 'Where are you'.

I suspect Rowe was fed up just being a bit part player and got his agent to see what’s out there for him. Turns out he’s got a 3 year deal at Chesterfield so you can see why he was keen to go. Not bad security for a 32 year old.

“Danny brings a real goalscoring threat to our frontline," said interim Bradford boss Mark Trueman.

"He has been on our radar since long before the window opened, and turned down several other offers from across the division to be here”

thays what was said about Rowe only 3 months ago. So what’s changed? Probably another city special and we saw someone make a bid and panicked at the first sign of it. Or can our manager not get a tune out of his players and now we need more?

Most players in City history with an injury record as dire as Novak's are instantly cut by our fans.

We'd be nuts to offer him a new deal.

Maybe we should be asking why yet another talented attacking player is running for the hills just a few months after joining us.

    Becoming a pattern isn't it?
