Any idea of who the other clubs were? Could add light onto why he'd want to sign for us (taking into account our current league position and management issues).

According to Trueman we had been monitoring Rowe for some time, he wanted to come so I doubt Turnbull had that much to do.

 

I'm not even having this conversation. He was an absolute shambles in every role from start to finish. (Except as a player, obviously).

According to wiki he's 6'1" and as yourself I've only seen him the once for the full 90 minutes but he dragged our two cd all over the place being a general nuisance.
He was certainly prolific at AFC Fylde.

 

looking at his strike rate for AFC Fylde I'm amazed nobody took a chance on him sooner. Bizarre.

 

It is bizarre. That scoring was unbelievable (Jeff), especially as it was maintained over 6 seasons.

 

He was a bit of a legend in non league circles and nearly got Fylde into the football league.

 

Fylde were very surprised when Rowe asked to leave in January 2020, and hopes he would retire there. He is from Fylde, was enjoying his football, at a decent non league side and presumably wanted to help them into the league - I remember reading about him when he scored a crazy number of goals (40? 50?) one season, but there was no chance he was leaving back then.

Apparently his agent told him to give it a go at climbing the leagues. At least that's the official story.

 

Can understand the club keeping quiet about the Novak situation before the game, no point in alerting the opposition before we need to. Hopefully we have another decent striker lined up. Turnbull has come up with the goods so far.

 

Scoring goals is always a positive but if our strikers know we don't have to score 2/3 to win a game that's a massive positive for the front men, I'd have been delighted with a 1 - 0 win today it would have been tough on Cambridge but overall we were slightly the better of the two teams, then again I've been know to be bias .
