Thanks, tell me something. If you were to take a loan out against the value of the club, then pay divs because on paper it looks like we are in profit, would that be legal?

 

How would it look like we are in profit. You don’t include the amount of money you have borrowed as income.

As a private individual, you could use that loan any way you wish though, right? Including making payments to anyone you might consider a business associate...?

 

It would depend on what terms the loan was taken out. If it is taken out in the name of the company, therefore sitting on the company balance sheet as a liability, then you would be restricted how you used it. If you took the loan out as a private individual then you would only be able to use your own share of the company as collateral and then yes you would be able to do with it as you wish as it wouldn’t be anything to do with the company.

 

Not only not legal I can not think how it would be possible, or what the aim of it would be

I'll repeat @Norman Corner your employees don't want to increase season ticket prices, they don't want a half full stadium that was one of their opening comments when they purchased our club, I believe they said Bradford is a poor City with low wages, even you quote that when it suites your agenda, now get with the program ffs.
