I wonder if the fa/league will force Crewe to play Saturday after all. It's a piss take either way.

 

Don't worry if they have, I've got 7 that are all going back.

 

Crewe only played it as they had no other option. This just sounds like us trying to play the victim and have a ready made excuse if we lose the rearranged game.

 

Who are currently in Serie B so no mugs

 

How can a game against a club side be called an international match, its akin to a pre-season friendly.
Complete farce , the fa should have told them to just get on with the game.

 

It's ridiculous that at this stage of the season a LEAGUE TWO game can be called off for international call ups. Crewe have three under 19/ 20 call ups and two of them are players on loan to Crewe. Lachlan Brook looks like he's never actually played an international match yet.

If it were September it might be different, but rules need changing as there is potentially only one date available before the end of the season.

If Crewe want it called off, they should be forced to start all three of these when the match does get played.

 

I would make them play, even if all three are injured.

 

Saves us from drawing a 5th consecutive game I guess.

Hopefully we're back to winning ways when the re-arranged match comes about

 

What difference does the time of the year make or that the players are on loan? Matches in league 1 and 2 get called off due to international call ups every international window and we are the only ones who are moaning about it. If we are so desperate for it to be played now then should that mean that players like Derbyshire can't play as they are unavailable now?

 

It’s the rules anomaly and late notice people are complaining about. It doesn’t matter a shiny shite to Crewe but it does to us and our top 10 competitors. It leaves us ONE possible date until the end of the season from memory or play 4 games in a week or something stupid!

It's standard for matches to be postponed for international call ups late as the sqauds are only announced a few days before the international window. Crewe can't apply for the game to be postponed until they know a player has been called up and they have the confirmation to send to the EFL.

 

What outcome are we hoping for with this complaint?

 

It's an absolute nonsense to complain against rules that we are very aware of when we kick off in August.

It's not even as if these are new rules, games have been getting called off in the bottom two divisions for years due to call ups. I can't work out why we're supposedly surprised.

 

It's nonsense when the three "vital" players didn't play on Tuesday, but they can not do with out them on Saturday.

 

They only played as they weren't allowed to postpone it due to it being a rearranged game. People are making it out that they wanted to play when they didn't.

We'd have called it off in a breath and this moaning is getting embarrassing. I also suspect this is more to do with people having to change their own plans rather than anything to do with the actual football that it's being dressed up as.

Suppose we lost Lewis,Banks and Wright (when he was here) to their respective national u21/23 teams.

Another example of “the rules are shit” when it affects us in a negative way but would be completely justified if it was the other way round.
