Mindset kicks in. This is why most teams that finish just outside the automatic spots in 3rd or 4th depending on the league tend to miss out on going up.

However, for me its about getting ready for the play offs and because of last night we now have this massive game on Monday but the likes of Salford and Carlisle can relax and plan.

 

Banks was poor yesterday. Crossing and couldn't really beat a man. He wasn't Elisa bad but he was poor.

 

Another thought on last night.
Crewe were a reflection on what I remember Lee Bell to be as a player at Burton. Busy , industrious, full of intent.
Whereas we weren't .
Hughes as a player was a bit arrogant and had a paddy if things didn't go his way.
Thoughts??

 

I'm sure Hughes thought the same when he brought Oliver, Pereria etc to the club, unfortunatly neither have shown any sort of form.

 

Not sure Salford can relax they are only a goal better of than us they also need a point to be sure of a play off place, I agree Carlisle look safe in a play off spot.

admittedly i haven't seen loads of games this season but imo Chapman has been a big miss looking at the replacements , he is a good footballer with good feet and passing , albeit sounds like his finishing has been a tad lacking at times.

just a shame Pereira the forgotten nan when everyone was desperate to re sign him so obviously had something about him.

Eisa has always been crap.

 

I felt at the time that Chapmans injury was a massive blow. We had finally found a system that saw us looking much more threatening going forward. Chapman has had his critics but for most of the season was playing in the Walker Number 10 position which is clearly not his most effective. Once he moved to the left, for me he started to look like the player we thought we'd signed.
Whoever we've tried on the left since, has effectively left us playing with 10 men. A big call now as for me, the decision on Monday rests between a gamble of Osadebe or Pereira for the left wing or do we scrap the formation again and revert to the diamond? Either way, MH will inevitably get pelters if it doesn't work out

 

Solid diamond for me. Bring in Clayton and also Platt for Crichlow

 

We were certainly difficult to beat with that set up. I'd fear for us though if Orient scored 1st.

 

MH & co need a plan of action.. Plan A, plan B and hopefully will not be needed but planC. No waiting to see if things change, we cannot afford to wait till 70 minutes or 80 minutes. It puts pressure on the team. We have to have fluidity in this final game.
