I tell you what, I'd be fuming if Leeds or someone came with a massive crowd, caused havoc, and WE got fined for it.

For me, we are not only responsible for racist or homophobic fans, but unruly ones too.

I don’t know when clubs took all responsibility for so called fans causing havoc and indulging in criminal behaviour. We have a Police force in this country and although I agree with clubs paying extra to help with Police budgets, I am not in favour of clubs being screwed right left and centre for behaviour that they do not condone and have done everything in their power to stop. Fines should be paid into the public purse to help the police budget via the courts. Once culprits have been convicted of a crime during a football match they should receive a ban for life to all football grounds. At the moment the Police are not involved, no investigations are taking place, and the EFL demand another cheque.

Then WE need to be in control of who can attend away games, not the home club.
WE should be able to impose restrictions and not allow the home club to sell to anyone.
If the home clubs don’t like that then they should foot the bill for additional policing / stewarding and be held to account for anyone entering the stadium with illegal objects.
If that means extra searches and fans being stuck outside queuing after kick off then tough shit, turn up earlier.
Something has to be done. Put up or shut up.

Ban the sale of flares in this country to anyone, who does not need to use them for their job, No internet sales , only through recognised agencies , with name and address of purchaser recorded. If you are caught with one outside of these circumstances, then serious fines and if at a sporting event long banning orders.
    Could it be that simple

Hopefully, he is certainly more mobile than Ridehaugh and Crewe are usually quite mobile.

My point is around potg though so that’s not really relevant.

An example is I went to Gillingham away in 2016 and it was potg. A fan sat behind me and was obviously a bit pissed and abused Jay-Emmanuel Thomas all game, it didn’t cross any lines but we all know with football fans it could have done… Anyway the point of the story, he turned out to be a Leeds fan, god knows what he was doing there. But had he racially abused JET or thrown a flare on the pitch who should get the fine? Us for a fan of another club coming along and paying a third club? Leeds for the fan supporting them when he lives about 250 miles away and has probably not been to a game? Or third option the club selling him the ticket and responsible for security? I know my answer to it. Security are supposed to do checks on fans entering the ground and the home team is responsible for security, yet up ans down the country we see flares used by people with the IQ of someone’s shoe size. To me home club’s simply aren’t doing enough, probably to save money on stewarding.

Rare clubs employ police inside grounds. It’s cheaper to operate Bang up Security Ltd paying their staff minimum wage rather than police at three times as much .
It’s also a crime to attempt to bring flares in the ground , so they can be apprehended prior to use.

Yes but they do not have the power of arrest or the ability to investigate who these ppl are unless something has changed?

That's because they're likely on minimum wage. Who in their right mind is wading into a group of young scroates to try and wrestle one of them out for a tenner an hour.

Don't they allow away fans down that stand at the side, if they only allow you behind the goals it explains the poor viewing comments, glad I turned the offer of going tomorrow down.

The main issue I see with the pyrotechnics is this (not sure if it has been mentioned already?): Most of the kids involved are exactly that - a kid. Most of them scrawny and 6 stone wet through with a baby face. All they have to tell the stewards is that they are U16, and they are exempt from frisking/body searches

So IMO it is practically impossible to police/stop the pyros. If they want to get them in a ground, then they will get them in

I posted with regards the stewards City employ within the ground, a family of four were going to sit in seats I knew were season ticket holder at Friday nights game I suggested they asked the steward at the top of the gang way, I watched and he didn't have a clue where there seats were, they continued further up the Sunwin to nearer the top where they must have found their seats, minimum wage or not they should be capable of directing fans to their seating.

I believe @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart said similar with regards searching individuals and said there are limits to patting someone down, I believe it has it got to be a female steward to pat a female fan down.
