This doesn't remind me of the Edin Rahic era, this is a whole new level of crazy!

    :joy::joy::joy:

To be fair, imagine us having THIS after the Rahic nonsense... I'm not sure any of us would be able to cope!

What would they be doing, dressing as buckets of KFC because we're chickens?

I think we've been through the same, where an owner backing the club means nothing if there is no knowledge of the game.

How can you have a strategy in place without expertise? Paying off debts is fantastic, no argument from me, and @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler was always praising Stefan for his work on the club's accounts.

However good players are useless in the wrong set up. We saw that with Eoin Doyle. Marquee signings are a waste of money under the wrong manager.

Crawley's owners have come in with good intentions and brought in a young manager with a good reputation when what they needed was a wise old head who knows how a club should be run and can implement a style and strategy that the club can follow long term.

Throwing money at football is no guarantee of success. Being a viable business with increased revenue streams is nice, but what's to stop you getting relegated out of the league?

See, there's two parts to a club: the business and the football team. You need both to be doing well, and in either case, one does NOT make sure the other works well.

Coming in and running a business is lovely, it really is. But it's not good enough.

I'm glad we avoided that bullet, since we already got the Edin Rahic bullet right between the eyes.

It would have been unfair to get a second helping of massive incompetence.

Don't forget where we were when Rupp took over.

We can't laugh at Crawley, we've zero room to gloat.

I was rooting for the new owners of Crawley, hoped they did ok. Seem decent lads.....but clearly clueless and out of their depth.

They they not employ a CEO or DOF with any experience???

Soon as owners start getting hands on then 99% of the time it ends up going badly wrong as we found out :( 5 points from safety god knows the outcome should they drop ........... well we probably do ........ the owners Fook off into the sunset and yet another football community loses a club because these rogue owners ain’t monitored right

Not putting what he said on here but its on that article.

    not funny, not banter...

Isn't it shocking we see these programs to end racism but no one seems to give a damn...

kick it out's statement on the matter.. the classic 'Banter' defence. Fits right in with "My family member/friend is x"

Yeah but if they had bought us and we got relegated and went bust, I would still have my Levi Sutton NFT to remember us by.....or something like that

Only a week to go until we find out how much NFT money Crawley have to play with as they outspend everyone else on their way to the PL... https://wagmiunited.com/

It looks like they've finally gone some way to being transparent about who is in their consortium (if you consider using names such as Andy8052 and jpegviceroy as being transparent) and there are a lot of names missing who were in the frame whilst they were flirting with City. The most noticeable absentee is Philadelpia 76ers president Daryl Morey who was the big name giving legitimacy to their sporting credentials. Another name which is conspicuous by its absence is Bryce Hall who would appear to have been dropped after CTFC fans found out that he has some racially aggravated assault type baggage and questioned why Wagmi were happy for him to stay on board when John Yems was given the boot. YouTuber Caspar Lee is missing and probably more importantly from a business know how and investment credibility perspective so are Universal Music Group gen manager Celine Joshua and Coinbase senior director David Farmer. On the venture capital side there's no mention of Tiger Global or Slow Ventures but Courtside Ventures do remain in the frame.

They do seem to have lost a few of their more notable blue chip investors, I'd be intrigued to know if the amateurish City takeover attempt caused some people to have second thoughts?

This is, umm, certainly going to be an interesting ride for the Crawley fans!

The new owners are even referencing the creepy Crawley nickname
