Just got home from work. I honestly don’t know where everyone is going. Drop-tops down, cars full of parents and kids, cars with with bike racks. Full lockdown coming soon.

I particularly liked the video of that Italian mayor lambasting the people of his town for all suddenly becoming cycle enthusiasts when in normality, there's one or two.

The one part of the government advice which has been abused is the exercise one. People know full well the police have no idea if it's your 1st/2nd/3rd etc time out the house that day and are treating it as some form of early summer holiday. Parks and holiday areas are full and need to be shut down immediately. And then I bet you those begging they need to get out and do exercise won't be as desperate to get out when it means a cycle or jog round the block.

 

I had tell two people not to leave the building today as well. Nipping for a paper or going to Tesco for a sandwich isn’t on, not for me anyway. I get it, it’s a big adjustment to life, everyone’s life, and it isn’t the responsibility of others, it’s everyone’s. Pushing the boundaries isn’t getting one over the system, and this is the lesson that some folk need to learn fast.

 

I think those laws were scheduled to come in tomorrow anyway...

 

I can't tell you the amount of times I've argued with the Mrs because she fundamentally doesn't the seriousness of the issue or the instructions the Government has laid down.

 

100% especially the Chinese suppressing information that might have given the rest of the world a month or so warning like it or not questions need answering by the Chinese when this is over.

 

The problem is these type of people who keep flouting the rules will only learn if we did what the Chinese police did and weld the doors to their house shut. Otherwise they will keep doing it and expect a bed when they need treating

 

Well if your Mrs doesn't understand then what hope do we have?

She gets it but the problem comes with mix messages and not complete action.

 

It would be like the fire brigade putting out 95% of a moorland bushfire then packing up for the day then wondering why the are inundated with calls from the public telling them the Moor is on fire again.

 

No she doesn't 'get it'. Nothing to do with mixed messages, because I've spelled it out as clearly as I can. And that's pretty bloody clearly. She's not a bad person, obviously. And in terms she'd understand, she'd 'do anything for anyone'. But like many people, they've lost any sense of self discipline or what's really important in life. An ability to make a level of self sacrifice for the greater good. Too coddled, with a sense of entitlement. Years of unhealthy conditioning.

 

By the end of this, i'll gladly weld the door shut on my other half, myself!!

Professor Sharon Peacock, Director of the National Infection Service, Public Health England, says antibody test could be ready for general public to be tested in Boots or at home within days "not weeks or months". Simple finger prick test....

 

India will become the measure with regards the pandemic, how the hell you lock down 1.3billion citizens is beyond belief but if anyone can India can, hundreds today queuing for food who have no homes to go back too to be lock down in, let's hope the comment that this virus is not as infectious with temperatures 27 degrees and over, God help those poor souls if it isn't.
