COVID-19

From what I can see, most places are declining as you’d expect. My council area (Barnsley) is around 190, and the neighbouring Sheffield is around 160. I’m hesitantly confident of going into tier 2 on the 16th.

Is there a unique code on them anywhere? I can’t see them being used as a kind of ‘passport’ unless there is as I could make one of them in about 5 minutes.

 

I might be wrong, but I think the main point of these is to increase the likelihood that people turn up to their second vaccination.

 

The more informal the better.

There seems to be a lot of scaremongering about these vaccination passports. It seems to be the new media, attention grabbing story.

 

Cheered me right up to see Kay Burley and Beth Rigby and getting caught out for flouting the tier 2 rules.

Strangely the media don't seem to be making much of a fuss about this one.

 

The press hold themselves to much lower standards than the expect from others, They look after themselves.

 

To be fair, I’ve read about it on most papers’ websites. And the majority of the country won’t know who Kay Burley is.

For the avoidance of doubt, what she did was absolutely moronic and she deserves whatever she gets. Indicative of an elitist sense of entitlement. Makes me angry that I’ve forgone milestone events this year, when apparently the way to get around tier 2 restrictions appears to be to be a member of an extremely expensive private members’ club.

 

Feeling really proud of myself and all good inside as I’ve just done an unprompted good deed

I was in Tesco and at the check out stood behind a old lady in the queue. Her bill came to £56.83 but when she counted all her change she was £5 short

I thought to myself, the poor old lady and what a world we live in where the elderly get no help

Anyway with it being just before Christmas and everything I decided that I would step up and help her

To be fair she actually didn't want me to help her but I insisted, and in no time at all we had all her shopping back on the shelves!!!

I feel good

 

London in tier 3 from Wednesday but more worryingly a new strain of the Virus has been discovered that we know little about

 

I think this keeps us in tier 3 too

 

Maybe we should all go to China they seem to have sussed it...............................then again can we believe what they say.

 

Northern Ireland are now following Wales with a post Christmas lockdown. Theirs is for 6 weeks including essential shops have to close early for the first week plus all sport stops including Elite level.

now will England follow the lead of Wales and Northern Ireland?
