Unfortunately whether you like it or not Gary Bowyer WILL be our manager next season, so I'd suggest you get used to it, unless of course you want another manager before next season?.

 

So in your over simplistic childish perspective on life any under 14's side should be able to beat Coventry (or whoever) if only they had the right manager!
Unfortunately in the real world things are a bit more complicated.

 

The positive for me is we create chances.

But as soon as they go forward they score against our powerpuff defence. Even if we took one of our chances today early on we still wouldn’t win the game. Look at Walsall. We cannot defed to save our lives. And that will always cost us. You are going to have off days in front of goal.

Look at Peterborough at home. We weren’t great but we stayed in the game at 0-0 and then took our chances later on. Since then we haven’t had a chance to do that

I don’t disagree, so in a sense it’s contradictory. But my mindset is that I’ve renewed for next season entirely on blind faith - it’s the last chance the club has to start acting properly, or I’m done. I’m giving Rupp a chance to undo his mess. But I’m not tolerating shite indefinitely. It’s the same reason why I’ve not been since Blackpool and won’t be going again this season - I’m not offering support to the current bunch.
And if there’s not wholesale change in the summer, I won’t be going much next season either.

 

The suggestion was Anthony O'Connor might be a better holding midfielder than Akpan if we are going to play Paudie at centre back, particularly in the air. I fail to see how this thought is promoting a stench of mediocrity. It's just a technical suggestion to how we could be doing a little better with the underperforming squad we have here.

The current ticket pricing maximises TOTAL revenue for the club. If it did not work, it would have been dropped long ago.

The transfers I want to see first in the summer are defenders and a keeper.

Nobody is disputing that it's dire but it's a pattern that has been consistent throughout the season, barring the purple patch in December. You can argue all you like that it's Bowyer's fault but like others have said, most of the players had already given up before he arrived so it's no surprise what is happening now.

We can quibble about the details, but you're right, this will be one of our worst seasons ever, whether you look at wins, or losses, or goal difference, or losing streaks, or ability to gain points from losing positions, or general ineptitude, or character, or what have you. Harrumph!
