It’s rooted much deeper than that. There’s a stench of mediocrity running through the club and we’ve become so accustomed to it that anyone calling it out is soon demeaned for ‘not being a true supporter’.

It’s ‘maybe Antony O’Connor would be OK in a holding midfield role’.
It’s ‘we can still do it with 6 games left’ when we’ve been shite all season.
It’s ‘give Collins a chance’
It’s ‘at least Billy Clarke loves the club’
It’s ‘lets Massively underprice tickets because that’s the only way to get big crowds in’.

It’s been so long since we were a properly ambitious, well run club that we’ve forgotten what it’s looks like.

I was at that game and I have to say that it was a very memorabfle game not for the poor footy from both sides or that we were both down but the banter from both sets of fans was really funny. You lot where brilliant and from that game have had a soft spot for Bradford City.
I remember seeing Elvis up against a wall being frisked by the bill...very very funny
And who could forget the telly tubbies starting the conga in the stands.
The chants of 'going down going down going down' from us with 'so are we so are we so are we' from you lot.
Loads of other stuff as Well.

Don't think anybody's dressing it up,and nobody is disputing 7 defeats in a row is poor. Where there is contention is where the finger of blame should point - you seem to think that should be towards Bowyer, I think it needs to be pointed at many more than that.

 

Its not all bad Leeds have lost at home after taking the lead against Wigan who had their CD sent off, can they blow it again, not that I'm vindictive of course.

 

Did you see the T&A article from Bowyer yesterday where he talked about the club needing to change from Top to Bottom? That includes the mentality of fans. This attitude of it being ok to lose as long as players ‘try’, this acceptance of mediocrity, it has to change. We have to be much more demanding.

Doesn't matter how you dress it up. 7 defeats in a row is poor. Didn't think Bowyer was a good appointment and his results back it up. We had a chance of staying up when he arrived and hes spunked 21 points away.
16 players under contract in the summer and our best players are on loan and wont be coming back. We're truly up the creek.

 

Bowyer is correct we have to change, what we have been dished up this season is an insult to all City fans. Whereby I don’t think the team will win every match, but I expect them to go all out to win every match, do not step back for anyone. Yes we are passionate and loyal, but do not think we will just put up with this. We need tough players both physically and more importantly mentally. We also need skill on the ball, so it is going to be hard to find the right characters, but that is what I expect. I personally don’t care about any of the current team, so let the mass clear out begin.
