    I didn't want most of the schools in my catchment. The one school I did want was refused. Appeal failed. Kept daughter in nursery 6 months into school starting. Finally got a school, out of catchment, which turned out brilliant.

    When I worked with self employed folks, the more canny ones always said the best investment you can make is to hire a good tax accountant. May cost a bit but they will save you lots over time.

    used to love playing civilisation. I was normally the Mongol Empire. Finding some unsuspecting wee settlement, and crushing it with impunity!
