It’s not a £10 bet.It’s 2 x £5 bets at odds of 5/1.
One £5 bet on England to win the tournament and one £5 bet on England finishing in top two( i.e getting to final)
If England win tournament she gets £5 times 5 plus her stake back
5 x 5 + 5 = £30. Don’t forget the BODMAS rule.
She also gets the e/w bit of her bet back because they finished in top 2
This is at half the odds of the original bet
5 x 2.5 + 5 = £17.50

Therefore £30 + 17.50 = £47.50.

At the moment she is guaranteed the £17.50 e/way part of the bet as England will definitely be in the top 2.

Getting the BODMAS rule in a post must get me some cuedos.

Have a little trip to Hackney Marshes and choose any of the 82 pitches that will all have games on. Used to be 120 pitches but then they started messing about putting proper changing rooms, showers etc.

Yeah, eldest’s year 6 bubble collapsed this morning - they break up on Friday and they were all devastated that they couldn’t say goodbye properly. Thankfully they had a prom / celebration day yesterday which they all seemed to enjoy.
I really do feel for the kids in all of this stupid shitshow.
Anyhow now stuck with a stroppy 11 year old for 8 and half weeks!!!

 

….thankfully found him a PlayStation 5 which he’d saved half for and I paid the rest if he achieved his school platinum award (obviously got his intelligence from his mum).

It's sort of what happened last year. They broke up in March and never went back. Missed out on all the leavers stuff. Such a shame.

Spent £700 on prom dress and shoes for my soon to be 16 year old’s do at Berties in Elland.
Parents got told it was cancelled so a few rung the venue to ask why only to be told it wasn’t their decision it was the schools.
Berties still had 3 proms that were going ahead.
Felt a bit pi$$ed off the school made that decision without any thought for how much people were spending.
Will probably be able to recoup a bit in 12 months time if we can sell them then.
Agree about the kids missing out on stuff.
Leaving school is a massive stage in their lives and it’s all been turned upside down.
