Great effort! It's a lot easier to combine them these days - I brought two of mine together a couple of months ago online and they just did everything. I tried about two years ago and was sent a mountain of paperwork I didn't understand!

I have, however, reviewed the performance of the 94 investment funds available to my FSAVC and made changes there. Unfortunately I've had 40% of it in rubbish performing funds for ages. Going to be much more active on it now. Summat to do with no iFollow in the future.

Folks. Good news. HMRC are finally cracking down on big scale tax scams.

They've sent me an 8 page letter asking me to send proof of my professional subscription I claimed as an allowable expense 2 years ago, and to explain why it's a necessity for the job I do.

There's a whopping £83 of tax at stake here.

By the time they've had a worker review the twelve page letter I'm going to send in response plus the postage and cost of the letter they sent, I'm not sure they'll even break even if they won. Which they won't, because it's 100% a necessity to the work I do.

But let's not target high worth individuals using savvy accountants, off shore schemes and all the fraudulent COVID claims... FECKERS.

 

The bastards insisted I pay back all the child allowance (£1800) that we claimed while I was working in Wales.

 

Slight caveat to my previous post.

I had illegally claimed it as I was earning over the salary threshold for claiming certain benefits.

 

Hmm. If I was king. I'd probably have thrown you in a dungeon for a bit, to think over your crime.

But I'm not. So you're probably ok.
