Did Tong Park and thru the woods earlier today - not done that walk in years.

 

Down Roundwood, Langley Lane, drop down to the woods then took the stepping stones and walked back up to the Rugby club, through the village and then back home.
You’re right - Baildon is a beautiful place.

 

I have to check every time - bloody phone autocorrect always wants to change Baildon to Basildon. Drives me potty.

I was born in Orsett - a stone's throw from Basildon, and grew up eight miles from it, in Grays. Believe me, there's no comparison!
I had cause to go to Basildon a couple of times last year. Good grief, what a woebegone place it is. I couldn't wait to escape back to beautiful Yorkshire.

I used to have an office in Barking - there ain’t a shittier shithole than Barking.
Thankfully lived in Farringdon but always glad to feel the train pulling out of KX on a Thursday evening on my way home.

 

It’s not really been a lockdown. I drove to my nana earlier to take her some food. Couldn’t believe the amount of cars and people out. I was thinking ‘what lockdown’?

 

Living in wine country: curbside pickup of wines direct from the wineries, often with discounts if you buy a case (This has always been available, but until now it's been more convenient to just go to the local wine shop)

Discovering new sources for foods: always passed by a small shop selling various meats just outside of the city, but now finally got around to getting meats from them. What a revelation! Grass-fed beef from their own herd, other organic or naturally-raised meats and poultry from small farms across the province, and all excellent. They are a bit dearer than other shops and butchers, but the difference in quality makes it worthwhile. And they do curbside pick-up.

Lots of time to work on one's guitar-playing.

is that cos they have refunded this month and knocked it off next month? So double reduction

 

Definitely the bank balance. Feel bad saying it with some in an unfortunate position but still able to work full time with no reduction and not going out to spend anything

Tbh i don't know. I haven't looked at the bill yet, just got the DD notification. But they deliberately seem to obscure what you are paying for individual items in the "package"
