Weak, lazy and synonymous of this club. No leadership or genuine communication from the top.

I don't get what's weak and lazy about it?

 

Surely Rhodes should be there? Rupp is never gonna come over for it but Rhodes?

Will have a listen still.

 

I wouldn't be that surprised if Rhodes was on the call.

Maybe he won't be, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was.

 

Ive read that 3 times and can’t figure out if you’d be surprised he was on it or not surprised?

Edit - 4th time think I’ve got it. You think he will be on it? The press release seem to say he won’t be and it will be Sparks and Stuart

 

The most you get out of Rhodes is a piece from his mates at the Yorkshire Post, very occasionally. what makes you think he'd front up to a live show when he pays Sparks to be the mouth of the club?

He's like the Invisible Man.

 

Sparks said: We are committed to maintaining a clear line of communication with our supporters and this event, be it a slightly unique one, will provide an opportunity for City fans to reach out and have their say ahead of what is a very important season for our club

But our leaders won't be maintaining a line of communication with our supporters.... Groundhog Day? And who exactly are 'we'?

If Rhodes shows up to answer questions I'll bear my ar$e in Queensbury co-op window.

Pop Rhodes ever turning up in the same drawer as the Keifer Moore nearly signing.

 

Give us a plan of intent, a target for the Club's future and as for Rhodes, the only one I'm interested in is the 'rhode' to recovery.

 

There is no doubt that Rhodes loves the club but it feels at times he just has an immense dislike for the fans

 

Serious question, did you ever see Julian at a fans forum or any other questions and answers meeting.
As we know Mark was always the front man giving interviews to the media etc, Julian was never the co-owner who wanted the spot light, I dont believe that will change.

 

He’s no longer co-owner now. He’s the CEO or I think that’s his job title. If he doesn’t want the media limelight, then don’t take this job? In any other industry it comes with it, why are we different?

 

I'm sure if you asked him he would be more happy to have someone else doing the CEO job, he took it as a favour to Stefan when his crooked mate was screwing the club, he had someone lined up but they went on to better things, we have a Director of Communications who is paid to do the media side of things.

 

I grant you that dave but times are so different. Covid19, salary cap, plummeting season ticket sales, fans confidence in the board certainly lower than Lawn/Rhodes era..

But I don't want to hear from the monkies...

 

Bang on mate, it's what holding this clubs future back. Truth is we're there to make up the numbers, there is no ambition or genuine desire to take this club forward. Cheap soundbites and lazy T and A articles do not disguise the fact. There is no long term plan in place, there is no blueprint for the future. Our fans and many other fans of other clubs see us as some sort of sleeping giant, they couldn't be further away from the truth if they tried.
It's all about ambition and desire, I've only ever seen it twice while supporting the sporting clubs this city has. Its not rocket science. Ambition backed with investment. And don't think that investment has to be in the high millions. Geoffrey Richmond knew what it was, so did Chris Caisley along with Peter Deakin back with the Bulls in 1995.
The evidence and facts are there, five years later we had premiership football and the Bulls were the best in super league. All it needs is man/woman with a plan and a vision and some realistic investment. Easier said than done, but it's there if you look hard enough.
That ambition could be just around the corner if Rupp lowers his unrealistic valuations and it could be there quicker than you think.......

 

I get that but he is still getting paid a decent wage isn’t he? He should be there. Even if he does two a season that would be enough. Let Sparks do the monthly ones. It shows what’s happening from the top and not just through a mouth piece. Sparks should be concentrating on boosting sales of tickets (when we can come back) shirt sales and our social media stuff. He can still be on the panel but with what’s going on and this uncertain time you wanna be hearing from the top. If Rhodes won’t do it then Rupp should and we should demand it
