Collins ( I have no answers )

I wish I'd have brought last seasons whilst some one was hammering knitting needles through my ball cocks it would have been less painful than having to watch that shite today.

 

I am really pleased we have not witnessed this today, but we listened which was bad enough. Unfortunately we are back on Thursday.

Half way through the 1st half some of the crowd started booing them because we had no idea what we were doing whilst Collins stood on the touch line looking lost Gary Jones passed us on way out and just shrugged his shoulders as if to say what the feck was that.

 

Sadly, and I genuinely mean sadly, MC doesn’t look up to the job. I was rooster to give him time and a bit of leniency given his rookie status but he doesn’t seem to even have the basics in place.

We don’t have a settled tactical system, we don’t seem to have a good idea of a starting XI and the players seem totally unmotivated. I can deal with poor results if performances/effort is there but I’ve barely seen a good performance (except maybe the first 20 minutes at Shrewsbury).

 

I can't feel sorry for him, he is the person who sets the tactics. This team don't have a clue what they are supposed to be doing, he started going the right way on Tuesday then threw it all away again. Pick a settled team, play to the players strengths and build from there. Football isn't played on a whiteboard its played on grass.

 

I feel a bit sorry for Collins.

I believe he has been given such encouragement from management above him, that he genuinely believed that he would be able to do a good job.

The reality is that no respectable manager wanted to work under said management, and Collins has been pushed into a position that was almost guaranteed to fail.

 

If/when Collins is sacked, Rahic will have to sit in the dug-out. There's no one out there daft enough to take the job.

In a few short weeks when we go bottom, and tbe last of the Sergio Pinto's come on side Then as a body we can set about influencing Rahic to sell up and feck off.

 

When Edin first came in and told is of his plan I felt uneasy.
When in his next gambit he he told us he's to be taken seriously, the alarm bells started ringing.

There's more alarms, klaxons and sirens belting out now, that Ripleys ship in Alien seconds before it self-destructs.

 

Collins is talking the talk about He knows football,knows what he's doing,he's got the badges,he knows what to do and with all this self belief and confidence,he didn't have what it takes to actually apply for this poison chalice of a job.

Rahic didn't appoint Collins because he is an outstanding coach,his record for the under 18's was poor,he appointed him because no interviewed manager/ coach wanted a job with a Rahic way of doing things.

The problem is Rahic is stubborn,this was his decision and the question is,"how far down the pan will we go before he decides to do something?

 

The question surely is would Rahic/Rupp pay off Collins, Drury and Abbott their 3years salaries or let the club go down the Swannee?

 

Am I right in saying that the management team are on 3 year contracts ??

Well that really puts us well and truly in the brown stuff.

 

I would have thought MC would by now have heard the thoughts of his henchmen ringing in his ears.If they are all singing from the same sheet, then all have proved failures equally.I remember Rahic saying how the selection of Head Coach was of critical importance to him and the Club and it was essential he got it right. SO WHY TAKE A RISK EDIN? You gambled with our Club's immediate future and in a professional capacity and Club custodian, you have failed due diligence in that respect. Your plan is flawed and your football credentials are unfit to weave into Bradford City Football Club. As Chairmen with backing, who exercised absolute thoroughness in their approach to selecting us as the English team most likely to fulfil their mantra, it is sad the way things are unraveling before our eyes. The business decisions may have benefited the Club but alas the football ones have been a complete disaster for themselves and certainly for the supporters.Really we need an experienced Head Coach to lead his own setup and Edin needs to reassess his role for the better benefit of his Club. Difficult to believe in continuing with the present incumbents as we are regressing as a team.The biggest worry for me is that footballing judgement throughout the entire management structure is demonstrating a common misjudgement.

 

I doubt those salaries are significant. They're probably heavily incentivised with bonuses.

 

The approach, and tactical changes, at Shrewsbury were encouraging. But pretty much everything has been dismal since.

 

I can't argue with any of that @Fordy117 maybe once it was offered he knew if he didnt take it he could not go back to coaching thd kids, and ultimatly have no job.
Plus I'm not as heartless as you , its just a matter of time.

 

Talking of Sergio Pinto, after his ban he posted for a day or so but seems to have stopped posting, is he using another username ?.
