    That's to a crowd of 600 fans, I'm only guessing but to try do that for a crowd of around 10-12000 is far more difficult. Only guessing though. Out of interest how much was the coffee?

    I think its mainly to do with a pre arranged contract too which I think has been covered previously.

    From a ‘business forum’, discussing the profit margins:- “Cost: 8p (coffee) + 6p (milk) = 14p

    Sell for £2.20. Take off the VAT first resulting in the NET sale of £1.83.

    Gross profit = £1.83 - £0.14 => £1.69 => 92.3% profit margin’.

    True, or the hot water etc. Even so I think it would be hard not to profit from selling hot drinks, it's the food etc that is more complicated

    The item was looking at a unit operating over 12 hours with attendant costs of wages to cover the extended opening time. Agree with your comment. However the volume of sales over a three hour period will potentially be substantial and as such fuel the profits.

    I understand the reasons why they did it and at the time it was a risk free, convenient way to get it sorted. That said, it's been contracted out for a long time now and we've had plenty of time to come up with a way to make it work in house. We're missing out on thousands of pounds every match day.

    You could say that about almost anything made - food, clothes, trainers, cars - ok the mark up % are all different but the profit is obviously why they do what they do.

    yep the Pepsi out of the dispenser cost about 3p for a pint. Overall we were hitting just below 70% mark up on drinks and 80% on food, total was around 76%. Yep there was all the running costs to pay but it shows what the difference is

    If you like a brandy mate... Can I recommend Asbach to you?
    It's a German Älter Weinbrand and is very nice indeed. The only place I know to get it from is Saltaire Wines... about £22 for 0.7 litre bottle.

    Man Of The Match award.

    Think it's time to take the man of the match award off sponsors.

    The club should pick 3-5 players that they feel they should be up for MOTM and then do a vote on Twitter or Bantam Talk until about 7/8 then whoever wins the vote wins the MOTM.

    Announce the winner on twitter & offical site..

    Can do this for both home and away matches!

    The sponsors naming MOTM is becoming embarrassing!
