Is yours a fully woollen one or does it have the waterproof plastic on the back like mine? Stops the legs getting wet...

No the use of ‘mature’ is a term which is usually associated with someone who has ‘grown up’ and behaves in a reasonable and balanced manner. You could have used, ‘including embarrassing old idiots’ as that is probably a fair comment.

Not really following your logic but if you want examples of where flares and smoke bombs have caused injury or harm to a person then give the EFL charter a read. Just some examples are:
    • Fans treated for shrapnel wounds following the setting off of thunder flashes. Debris passed through jeans and caused cuts to legs.
    • A 15-year-old boy suffered lung damage from a smoke bomb thrown during a game, requiring hospital treatment.
    • An assistant referee was struck by a lit smoke canister thrown from the stand.
    • Two supporters were injured, one requiring hospital treatment, when an industrial firework was ignited and thrown in the away supporters’ toilet.
    • A flare was discharged by away supporters. A steward placed his foot on the device to prevent further smoke escaping, however, the sole of his shoe melted, causing injury.
    • Supporters ignited a flare and an 18-year old-youth was treated for burns after picking it up.
Last season a 9 year old Chelsea fan was given medical attention for breathing problems after a smoke bomb was thrown into the away end at Anfield and as someone else has mentioned on here there was the incident at a Liam Gallagher concert recently as a result of someone throwing a flare.
Also just because other injuries haven't happened yet doesn't mean they could or won't happen. If you think people throwing them couldn't result in injury then there's no point trying to reason with you.

If you went to Rochdale away last season you probably don't need any more data.

The troglodytes with the smoke bombs throwing it into the opposition stand should be enough to ascertain that the creatures wanting to bring 'pyros' aren't smart enough to spell the word, and even if a smoke bomb is no more dangerous than a bottle top, you can see why BOTH have been banned from stadiums (at points).

    This is a stupid debate.
Rules are made for a reason and it’s mandatory they they are followed whether we feel they apply to us or not.
Eg. I think I’m fine to drive after 3 pints but the law says not. Am I able to disagree with the law?

I also feel by driving is safe without the use of a seatbelt, can I ignore the rules in this too?

What kind of mad world do we live in where City fans try defend bringing incendiaries into crowded stadiums? We seem to live in a world where idiots seem to deny history and common sense and show no repsect for the welfare of those around them.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-50490458

Dried hair gel and sprays can be very flammable. Doesn't it occur to any of the idiots lighting pyros in football grounds that they could accidentally set somebody's head on fire?

These things want banning, too. Birds and bats roost at lots of football grounds and I can't say I'm looking forward to the day one flies through the shooting flames and ends up smoking and writhing in front of loads of kids on the front row - or in the crowd even. People can be very stupid before they get smart. At least the US has banned them temporarily.

Was it one of the YouTubers by any chance? If it was I'd love to have seen his face when he got the letter as he likes to give it the big one online with all the No Pyro stuff but then backtrack when someone questions him

Whether or not you’re allowed an opinion is decided on how many games you attend.

Jesus, there’s some absolute whoppers posting on this thread.

We're missing a trick. We should combine the big 'sleep in at VP' events we do with matchday. 2 birds, 1 stone.
