You asked a question how it works, I told you. We don’t have a Dof, so not really any point in linking that to BCAFC. Ditto quoting club “Chairmen” . BCFC doesn’t have a shareholders, a board, nor a Chairman.

Who is DoF at Stevenage? Just looked on their website Staff Directory and can not see anyone with that title. I checked under Directors, Club Administration, First Team.

Is it James Cameron? who has the title of Football Secretary? We have had a Football Secretary in the past, they liaised with the league, FA etc made sure signings were registered etc

Yep I can find loads of articles where he is listed as either DoF or Head of Recruitment but can not see it on their own website.

Cocky…..yes, however I leave car washing management to those who know what they are talking about. If I need to know I’ll ask you if that’s ok? On that I’m thick, but I can again swiftly check trade effluent regulations myself . Yes we had a car wash renting a site at one of my locations , amazing what they had to do to meet the waste water decontamination process. Fortunately our property division managed them.

It is most likely going to be Leon Hunter, the son-in-law of the chairman spearheading therecruitment campaign. A man who’s not found his way into the hearts of the fanbase. Largely because of poor recruitment. With roughly 155 signings in his spell, I have, and of course, it’s in my opinion, just short of 100 being not good enough. I include Henry Cowans, Tom Conlon and Dean Bowditch in those good enough so I’ve been generous. Obviously, we can’t just blame him, but when you are head of recruitment, the buck stops with you when recruitment doesn’t pay dividends. The chairman won’t sack his son in law, so how do we improve that abysmal record? The manager must work with Leon, they must trust each other and together or you end up with a mismatch of players and styles much like the 19-20 window. The manager must set the spec of what he wants, trust Leon to a certain extent but not to the extent where he has complete free reign so once again you don’t end up with a mismatch and as an absolute certainty, The manager must always have the final say. Always.

Thank you , it not the one I was thinking of but still a good insight into recruiting from 26 mins in, however it doesn’t mention process. I believe the one I remember was Raynor and Sparks 1 on 1

 

Watch Sunderland til I die and QPR docusoap on Netflix. That’s how to run clubs. No rationale going miles over budget for players. No business sense. It’s hilarious. Football is a weird set up.

 

It's very desperate when people think Gibb would come in and move the club forward. He may well keep the club in the division. But as far as putting his own money in, dream on. He will want to protect his pension investment at best and he probably sees at the minute that the club is going backwards. If we go down, the money goes and the club would be in peril. If there's no club he gets no income for his pension.

Beyond that I doubt he cares.

 

As if the club would be sold to an owner who has no interest in us. Would never happen.

 

I think if it did we wouldn't stand for it.

That's why I don't get fans wanting Rupp to sell, why ruin everything we've built over the past 7 years or so?
