I cannot remember the last time I bought a program. So here I am a long term member of the club, and season ticket holder, and what your saying is that I have to buy a program to get an update on a two weekly basis? However, when they want to sell me something I can have that on Twitter, email and FB. Nice. Sorry that is not good enough

Someone mentioned comings and goings.
This must be the first transfer window where there hasn’t been an expectation or excitement about signings.
I’ve no faith that any signing would have a positive impact with Bowyer in charge right now!Craven Koppite, The Granby Mullet, Onside and 3 others like this. -
Sites like BT and Twitter are full of rumour and counter rumour and the club posts zilch about this issue. It might be that club is simply ignoring fans' concerns and just waiting for the shitstorm to run out of steam. But this is symptomatic of the club's approach to communicating with its fans on important matters and fails to understand that fans' support for the club isn't unconditional. The club may well get a rude awakening when supporters are being encouraged to dig deep into their own pockets for their next season ticket.

Agreed. I saw this event which focuses on the Chelsea game or something, and I thought, can't we just move on from this? Lovely memories and all that, but there's much more pressing things going on than getting all misty eyed about a cup run that happened circa 6 years ago. It's just a distraction method employed by the club.

We're just a cash cow who's loyalty is taken for granted. Rhodes and co are going to be in for a shock when they don't even sell 10,000 season tickets.

I no longer trust the capability and ambition of those running the club.

"Following on from GB's statement on the official Bradford City Twitter account, you may well have read that our two principal strikers are likely to be leaving the club in the near future. Be assured that we are trying to recruit suitable replacements before the transfer window closes on Friday. We'll keep our loyal fans aware of further developments."
There, not difficult is it? It took me about 60secs to compose that and I'm not the club's Director of Non-communication and don't pretend to be a PR expert!
It's short and sweet and doesn't say much more than has already been said elsewhere. But such a statement would suggest that the club really is trying to communicate with its long-suffering fans. Unfortunately the silence remains deafening!Jayteebee, Bronco, Onside and 1 other person like this. -

Just had another listen. I'm even more disgusted now I've had more time to reflect. Lower than a snakes belly. This club is the pits. Rotten to the core. Really need some fresh blood with new ideas In the offices and on the touchline. Really poor form. Doyle has come across as professional since his return and actually looked sharp and showed some nice touches in his first couple of games. The manager is the one that needs the finger pointing not Doyle. Bowyer has been shown up by his lack of credentials and the board are trying to save their own skin by deflecting the blame. Absolutely disgusting.

This thread should be revised to “club miscommunication” as that describes the situation as it stands
Ryan Sparks just comes over as another fly by night who hides when the going gets tough. Bollocks to reunion dinners and shirts off backs etc, tell us proper fans what on earth is happening with our club!!boltonroad and Onside like this. -
What do you actually want them to say? Club business regarding players incoming isnt going to be aired publicly as in "we're chasing this player" or "we want this player" for, I would have thought, fairly obvious reasons. If they come out and confirm Doyle and Vaughan before a replacement is sourced, the selling club feed off the desperation and fleece us. If they deny and go in the end, then they look like they've gone back on their word.
Regarding the FA Cup event, I personally see this as a revenue driver and not 'living in the past'. 500 tickets at £25 is £12,500 less your costs. That pays for a lot of things that mean your playing budget is dipped into. -

Didn't the club give up on it's pitiful communicating/advertising/selling when it belatedly found FB & Twitter?
Until somebody puts a monetary value on "hit" or "like" figures then others are hiding behind them and just wasting time really. They are to augment a coordinated communication/sales system, not be it!
The club has lost 1000's of ST holders in 2 seasons & like me, l bet others have had zero contact from the club, yet they have my name, address, email address & phone number. It's beyond pathetic.AucklandBantams and Onside like this. -
Better late than never! And it's about time that the club got on the front foot without having to be in catch-up mode continually.
I hope he simply expressed himself poorly in linking the return of Doyle to our poor performances. If not, that's a disgraceful suggestion by him. He ignores a string of poor performances through the season and fails to recognise the obvious point that another manager played to Doyle's strengths and got the results whilst our manager couldn't do that.Onside and bantam2708 like this. -
