OK, it's early - No Manager or team sorted.

So what ? Many of us called it WRONG last year ! ........... In August !!

So - in anticipation, and measured expectation, where will city finish ?

Probably mid table if we don't make to many changes, the quality in this league is terrible near the bottom hence why even after we failed to turn up for a third of the season we were still top half.

I’ve said mid table to try and be optimistic. I think we’ll be lower mid flirting with relegation. As has been discussed on other threads it all boils down to who we get as our next manager and how much he is given to spend. There are quality players to be had on freebies but as is well documented we pay peanuts on basic wages so we’ll probably miss out on the best available.

Sorry @RonnieBrown@RonnieBrown but pointless at this stage.

So many things undecided,. Manager, backroom staff, playing personal, will the pitch hold up et al.

I'm more hoping in the first instance that the negativity and toxicity around the club can be lessened.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to create this thread after a few transfers and a new manager? Though it gives us a view of how opinions change between now and the end of preseason, I'll go on a whim and say that we'll be more optimistic come August

    Easily top six?

What data are you using to calculate this, given recent trends?

As it stands, I voted for facing relegation -- on current form our current side would be relegation certainties. But come August it will be a changed side, under new management. I hope for the better.

If things stay as they are regarding recruitment and wage structure I'd say we will be in a similar position to how we finished this season so midtable for me.

I look at the teams coming down and nothing stands out like Blackburn and Wigan. Depending on what happens with Sunderland who don’t really have an owner at the minute, they could be strong but look to be going with youth players which can go one of two ways.
The rest are very much league one sides who had good years so will no doubt be up there but I wouldn’t expect runaway leaders like this year.

Then we’ve got the sides who miss out on play offs who will be up there again should the squads stay together as it usually is the case. Then Peterborough who will be strong under a full year under Evans no doubt. Plymouth again if they keep manager and squad. Portsmouth has a good finish so will be pushing again.

As for teams coming up. Accrington are unknown but are they strong enough to compete at top end? Maybe not but will be mid table? Luton expected to be strong with some
    Good attacking players.

In all that we have to have a chance. Will have similar squad with it has to be 5 or 6 good additions. Who knows. Top ten for me

I thought long and hard before creating this thread .......... Yet I came to the same conclusion - The general mindset of fans is to continue in the same way as they felt 'last season'. So getting in early will give a better indication of swing, before the new season kicks off.

obviously it's too early to say but we've got a shit team and no manager so it's not exactly looking good imo.
