Nobody has turned Woods from or into anything, you just made a ridiculously premature judgment on a young lad and are now trying to back track like it's some miracle of coaching he's now improving.

 

Their red card changed the game. We weren’t great until that happened. Bowyer needed that result with many of the fans who remain unconvinced he is the man. After 30 mins they sorted out centre midfield and Carlisle stopped getting a free run at the centre halves. Connolly was excellent. We need to repeat that performance consistently.

Would you employ one up front at home to Swindon? They're likely to play 4-4-2, or at least they did away at Cambridge (who played 3-5-2 and lost).

 

I agree, but we play Swindon at home in two weeks - away, I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid at a 4-5-1, but at home? According to some, we shouldn't adapt our play (read: fear) anyone.

 

Yep agreed, same point I was making in an earlier post - NKP basically rugby tackles Donaldson as they go for the ball.

Strange the officials ‘spotted’ a very debatable handball to give a free kick, yet couldn’t see the rugby tackle immediately preceding it.

Funniest thing yesterday before kick off was GB squirting water from his bottle at Harry McKirdy on the touch line, Just as he turned to see who it was squirting water GB gave him another squirt in the face, Laughs all round,

 

I'm siding with both you and @bantam2708 on this Jon, we need to demonstrate sterner resilience against better teams, which means changing our setup a little, but as you say, any change would have the cyber vultures circling, ready to strike should things not pan out as we all hoped. Something to work hard on in training perhaps ?
Hopefully something has clicked with Bowyer, not just the players (and fans)
The outstanding concern for me, a better organised midfield or not - the rear guard still continue to make schoolboy errors and judgements, costing us goals, and ultimately points.

 

Whats your opinion on the Everton red, do you think your services will be required to try and get it over ruled ?.

 

I agree it was a recklass challenge and where it happend any tackle was not reqiired, the reason Im asking is because Charlie Wyke did a similar tackle and we contested it over the Christnas period, on our way to Fleetwood we were told the club challenging the red and it was recinded, @wetherbywhaler doing the paperwork hence my post, if you ever try you'll never know.

 

Unfortunately I haven't seen Nobles challenge.
