DMH embarrassing performance

 

I’m not bashing Guthrie either - poor management decision IMO.

 

Novak has been pants.

 

I'm not bashing him, just factually stating he's had chances and done nowt so when there are options then others need to be given a chance.

Typical of Stuart though, not wanting to rock the boat and overlook the established pro.

 

What does DMH bring?

 

He's not listening to the noise.

I dont think it was. I'm not going to say it was great but we deserved at least a point and got into good areas, we applied decent pressure at times. Sadly, the lack of any cutting edge will stop us doing anything of note this season.

 

Yet SMc gave him another contract and decided to keep Guthrie when an offer was on the table from another club.

Totally agree. If we didn’t get the penalty we would have never scored in that game, I think we all could see that, so why did the manager decide to keep it the same approach when we had the majority of procession in their half in the second half.

 

If only we could pass the ball forward!!

 

Meh.

We had a go in the last 15/20, but there is a distinct and clear lack of quality up front.

I don't remember a real clear cut chance,and had we been in he ground I'm not sure there was much to get you off your seat.

 

Thought that was basically a 0-0 aside from a good long ranger and a penalty.

Neither side created anything, pretty much cancelled each other out.

We look decent in possession at times, but we don't have any significant advantages going forward. Novak is okay, an all-rounder, Donaldson is a bit erratic but otherwise a bit weak and disappointing, DMH's crossing is the thing of nightmares (and not for opposition defenders), I'm beginning to think Wood is our biggest attacking threat after Saturday's goal and the penalty win tonight.

Sounds like a hard fought point against a team who are hard to beat.

Once again though, the lack of quality up front is frightening. Samuels must be crap in training if he cannot get on instead of the worst City striker in living memory in Guthrie.

Come on McCall, there must still be some out of contract striker we could tempt here that would improve on the garbage we have for options at the moment

 

Grimsby lost at home to Harrogate which is good to see.

Less said about City's non-performance the better, we cant play bad teams every week.

 

Don't believe we had offers for him never mind turned them down

 

Walsall have proved they are a decent side. A draw was a fair result. There is no point in keeping a winger on the field who isn’t producing I would have brought an extra forward on for the last 10 minutes for DMH
