He was so pissed off at not starting and the way the game went, he almost refused to come on..

 

Really. Wouldn't have liked to have been Aidy Boothroyd trying to 'persuade' him to come on!!

 

I couldn't bring myself to watch the second half... did we hang on for the win?

Schoolbar error. We all agreed to buy a round at half time,4 of us.. 4 pints in 15 mins is good going for anyone let alone mid 30s lol

Bumped into Jamie Lawrence after the game I’m Wetherspoons. Took a selfie with him. Checked my photos the next day in ancitipation to find out I had taken a pic of my thumb

 

That was a cracking trip. How often can you just relax in a game like that, and one of that magnitude? They were a superb team, and it showed on the day, it all came together and they fully deserved it. Especially after the cup final, to go back to wembley and do that showed their character.

 

I watched it in hospital. I'd just spent 3 weeks in a coma. Was totally off my face on morphine. Had to watch the game again online after I came out, and was genuinely suprised we'd scored three Even just watching it on Sky, there were loads of bits I can't remember. Happy days!

 

It felt too good to be true that game didn’t it! Still couldn’t relax until we got inside the last ten mins.

Maybe the cup drubbing served as a blessing in disguise that day.

Was surprised and delighted that they benched Akinfenwa from the start.
