One thing I'll say about Sparks is it's harder to run a business when the ship is in reverse. Mason had the big advantage of the club being on the up when he was in charge, which ultimately became untenable with the arrival of Rahic. Sparks has made mistakes and can come across all David Brent at times but has also made some good decisions along the way. We have a better infrastructure now in terms of staff than we did after he employed Derek Adams and the pitch is as good as we've had for as long as I can remember.

 

Now you've done it Rog. I can't get the vision of Sparks doing the David Brent Dance, or sitting back in his chair "pontificating" about management out of my head.

 

Thinking about the problems Sparks has had to overcome in his relatively short tenure I think he has done a really good job. Starting with the financial position when he took over followed by COVID and now the financial mess in the country he has still guided the club into a healthy state. Well done that man
