    Central defenders tend to do well in partnerships. Crichlow complemented Platt well but Platt has looked ordinary alongside Odusina and Songo'o. It's important we keep Crichlow because without him we look bang average at the back

    You talk about Iran as if they were the worst team in the tourney. Fact is they were Top 20 ranked and that's mainly because of their tight defence. In fact England's group was the only one that had all the teams in the Top 20 and all their rivals strength, really was keeping clean sheets.

    I like the sound of this signing. Quite a fair bit of experience at a decent level.

    Its good to get on board permanent signings wherever possible. As good as our loan signings have been, including Critchlow in this position, its that uncertainty of losing them mid season which nags a bit.

    Look forward to seeing him play for us

    Jones moved forward though and drove our team on, making up yards up the pitch. Both of our current two don’t burst forward.
    I just dont see why you’d want to move a leading contender for POY so far to create two possible problems.

    of course, the best remedy is to upgrade Gillead in January!

    Personally I think this spells the end of Critchlows loan. Either Town want him back for their own ailing campaign, or they want him to get some League One experience under his belt in the event they get relegated and have to release high earners

    That could make sense. Maybe Crichlow has been kept out pending a move or we’re going to loan out Odusina, maybe back to Hartlepool.
