    100% this isn't Morecambe that won't work here being too harsh. He has to be careful not to divide the squad. I like he has standards but no need to go all Roy Keane in pre season.

    Very surprised on how open he was. He didn't hide the fact he thinks the youngsters in particular are not good enough yet. I think he is a manager who trusts and likes an experienced starting eleven.

    He’s been fair to all the squad imho. They have basically all had equal time to show what they could bring to the tables From that, the selection of the 18 man matchday squad had been easy been pretty seamless.

    He’s no mug!

    I keep hearing this and saw the same on Saturday. Cook needs to do more for himself as Angol is doing, or he could find himself starting from the bench.

    For me the XI against Accy should be our strongest. Angol has given Adams a selection dilemma but I reckon he’s now thinking;

    Hornby; Ridehalgh, Canavan (c), Paudie, Threlkeld; Watt, Songo’o (Sutton if Yann is injured), Cooke, Vernham, Eisa; Cook

    wouldn’t surprise if Angol started. Cranky pushing Eisa.

    Yes agreed, fair point. However there has to be a point where the (deemed) at least half the first 11-16 squad can be confident of lasting 90?
    Forwards and midfielders are more likely to be pulled off than the back four/ keeper once the season starts in ernest?
