Do these really have enough money? Looking at their books of Company House the figures look very mediocre accounts.

Sales for Saturday's game have now stopped and game is in doubt.

With Bury last week it was only agreed. Nothing was signed. No sale has gone through.

The interested party still have to look at the books which normally they would have around 21 days but have until today and they have to prove they have the funds to cover the debt (2.7m roughly)

The stopping of selling tickets for the game on Saturday isn't a good sign.

 

The firm taking over said their main lawyer is on holiday. Im sorry but the deadline has been known about for a long time. To say you need more time as a member of your team is away is absolute noise to me

 

I said that yesterday. Would they have to stop everything each time this person goes on holiday

 

Concerned they don't really have the funds myself.

However, it's 5pm today and that doesn't seem to be moving at this moment.

Looking like the end for little Bury.
The company which was attempting to buy Bury Football Club, C&N Sporting Risk, says it is "unable to proceed" with its takeover of the League One club.

Bury, who had been given until 17:00 BST on Tuesday to complete the deal, now face expulsion from the English Football League.

The Shakers would become the first team to drop out of the EFL since Maidstone's liquidation in 1992.

The EFL said it "continues to be in discussions" ahead of the deadline.

"The league announced at the weekend that it was working exclusively with the club and C&N in an attempt to finalise a change of control at the club," the governing body said in a statement.

"However, following a period of due diligence, C&N have opted not to progress matters.

"The league continues to be in discussions with Bury FC in advance of today's 5pm deadline and will provide a further update as appropriate."

 

The EFL now need to stick with the deadline for both Bury and Bolton otherwise this is just silly. This is turning into a football brexit.

 

I'd take Stephen Dawson to hold the midfield for us. Leads by example plenty of bite in the tackle, plenty of experience.

 

Does that mean 6 will be promoted from League Two next season?!!!

Surely even we cannot mess that opportunity up!!!!!!!

Well 5 O’clock has been and gone, and still no statement either way from the EFL. Bury’s prospective buyers are out. If a deal is not completed at Bolton 8n the next few hours, they go into liquidation tomorrow, it is that tight.

 

Stating the obvious here. But they’re both gone, there’s no white knight coming over the horizon. Sadly...Someone needs to rip the plaster off.
