Not to be picky but both Gibson and McGowan were at the club last season. Hang on to what you like, everyone has different points where positivity turns to negativity, but don't slag others for criticising where we are now and only one person is to blame for the dismantling of what we had before.
We should've been the better team for the whole game, Bristol were awful. They took the ball into touch about 4 times, 2 cloggers at the back who just soak up long balls, no striker whatsoever, they could've been 4 up at half time if they had put away their chances when they were unmarked in our box. And, what seemed like a fair minded Brizzle fan, said to us on the way out, 2 teams there that will be in the bottom 3 if things don't change. He said we were the worst team that he had seen all year and that's why they looked good first half.
Fitness and organisation (which Collins did nothing for either) and confidence will help us a bit but Rahic has generally signed crap and not a squad but a mishmash of players that don't fit a system or even all the necessary positions. O'Donnell is quality, Doyle looks (and his record says) he has some, Scannell shows signs of it. In a good team, those players and the loanees Payne and Ball would look good in our league, unfortunately our full backs are awful, central defenders and midfielders are average at best. Reeves (and maybe an Akpan with a rocket up his arse) are the only injuries that may improve us (Jones - anything could happen there) and that shows how bad we are when Reeves can improve us.
Our only hope is the rumours are true that Rupp has told Rahic to keep out of football and is going to back Hopkin with his own cash in January - when players will cost more and be less inclined to come to a club battling relegation.

Not sure why people are talking of DH being sacked or walking. He has just got here, he hasn’t made any noise about want to go.

Seems to be speculation for speculation sake

I'd swap the teams and management structure in a breath and make no mistake about it, so would 99% of City fans.

We have to trust he knows what he is doing. He’s been appointed for a reason. No point having a go so early in his spell

You know you are in deep trouble when the forum's number 1 happy clapper has gone from predicting a top 6 finish to pretty much telling is that because we've been shit before, we should accept being shit now.

What a comforting thought. Thanks for that Banbro.

Hopkin needs to be given time to turn things round. Not his team not his backroom staff. Already seeing slight improvement on the playing side granted not won yet but i think results will come.didnt turn things round at Livingston straight away. Like people have said the problems r above. Got to back hopkin don't think there's a better option.

Sadly, It’s not a joke. Who do we have in the side who’re better? The only one who doesn’t see how dog shit we are, still, is you.

I’m with you on this. There is a vocal group of fans who seem totally set on remaining negative regardless of what happens. I do wonder why some people bother. Supporting a football team is supposed to be a positive in your life not a negative. The way some people talk on here I think they’d be better off just walking away from City if it’s got them this depressed.

It’s not great viewing at the moment but you’ve got to keep the faith that it’ll get better. Maybe it’s blind optimism but the alternative seems to be complete doom and gloom which seems far worse than trying to pick out a few positives.

We'll do well to stay up this season... I'll take that though. Get rid of these kids and get some proper footballers back in the building.

    @banbrotam@banbrotam is unreal.

    'The performance was awful, again'

'Yeah but we've performed worse in our long and storied history so it's okay'

    'Yeah but we're still awful'

'Yeah but we have some injuries'

'That's not an excuse for losing 7 of our first 10 games even WITH injuries, that's horrendous no matter what'

    'Yeah but we're not last'

Like, literally, it doesn't matter if we performed worse under McCall or Parky at points, because OBVIOUSLY we weren't 22nd in the league. This guy seems to be happy that we're not 24th, and thinks performances are acceptable because we might be trying.

    LOL.

Don't talk daft, a draw was a fair result, they were the better team first half and we were the better team second half. Stop going on about the injuries, bar possibly Reeves none of them would make any difference.

I can guess the pulse were wanking themselves to death over our ‘performance’ today. Worst happy clappers around.

Just what relevance has that to do with today's performance, I'll trump you with several home performances during John Docherty's day, all totally irrelevant.
First 20 minutes we were shocking, for the full 45 we were shocking tell it as it is, Hopkin knows what's expected shame the man you keep defending doesn't, our glorious chairman has put our club IMO back to time of Phil Parkinson's first season let's hope Hopkin can dig us out of Edin's mess.

Played well again today. Tough role to play when you are playing catch up on match fitness but looks a good signing. Amazing our wonderful recruitment department didn't spot him earlier when he was out of work, i guess it took Hopkin to spot a decent player. What do managers know though eh?

Don't be underestimating Bristol Rovers. They got a big moral boosting win today and will be well up for the game on Saturday. They score first and we all know the outcome.

One win could see us climbing 3 or 4 places, so I’m going to remain positive that we can get out of this rut. Small steps at the moment but an improvement from what we saw earlier in the season.

The players we have, are probably 95% the responsibility of Abbot. Herein lies the problem. It’s all well and good blaming Rahic but when you have a reduced budget, you’ve got to spend it wisely. The players he’s brought in have been weak both physically and mentally. If Hopkin can find Jim O’Brien within 2 weeks, what could he have found beforehand.

It’s time for Abbot to go, and take his book of poor potential with him. He’s consistently failed in the recruitment department and when called upon coaching the team.

Whether it’s Rahic in charge or anybody else, we’re stuck until January. If we can iron out the mistakes, allow Hopkin to bring in a couple of freebies and hope that Reeves can show the form he started with, then we should be good enough to climb the table. Score first on Saturday and hopefully we’ll see the game out.
