Ahead of Saturday I still "harboured hope" but you have to concede this is not going to happen. It's very likely the 36 point's we have now will be the sum total of our efforts when it's all over ! Take out the 4 game "aberration" in December and we'd be looking at just 24 !

It would be jaw droppingly amazing, but not impossible that we could win our last five
Who knows a lucky ricochet at the Gas Heads and maybe
I doubt it though, because I think all the team we are playing a mentally superior to usrmbenson007 likes this. -

Can we not get the women’s team to fulfill our remaining fixtures? They’d bring home exactly the same points total as this lot anyway.

Last chance saloon.
Wycombe could / hopefully will finish on 46
Stanley could / hopefully will finish on 46
Walsall could / hopefully will finish on 45
Southend could / hopefully will finish on 45
Lets hope for some draws when they play one another. Even if one does scrape a win against the other (unlikely as they are shit) I reckon 49 points will be enough.
4 wins and 1 draw needed. And the 5 games left are very winnable. Lose this weekend and we are down for sure. Win our 5 and 51 points will be enough in my opinion to finish a few places above the relegation zone.Onside likes this. -

Well we may as well turn off the lights. The minute you throw your hand when it is mathematically possible to be safe is the day to call it a day. Imagine 6 games ago if Rochdale did likewise? When they were 1 point above us and now 2 clear of drop zone. Their last 6 games were WDWDLW.
So why cant we win our next 2 home games against Gillingham and Wimbledon. And pick up 2 wins and 1 draw from Rovers, Coventry and Scunthorpe.
That in my view will see us safe. There is no way what so ever Bowyer has thrown his hand.
Unlikely yes, but come on we are due a run, lets make it now
If we win on Saturday and results go our way, belief will return.Onside likes this. -

Southend, Wycombe, Wallsall, Stanley, City are all shit plus a few more. This is why its a must win game again. As all these teams have not taken any advantage YETOnside likes this. -
I have being doing a bit of research. Here is the league table for 2019 only. ie from 01/01/2019 Bottom 5 clubs.
Wycombe played 15 - 12 pts
Stanley played 16 - 11 pts
Walsall played 15 - 10 pts
City played 15 - 9 pts
Southend played 15 - 8 pts
So I agree there has to be an upturn in results. Any team that accumulates 9 points from 45 deserves to go down. However, there are 4 other teams in a similar state as I have shown. We need to gain 9 more points than them. 4 wins and a draw and we could do it, Hence why I agree its a must win game.
Rochdale look as if they have done it, Wimbledon too. Let us be the 1 from the other 5 that have been shit that develops some balls.RonnieBrown likes this. -
