i would love him back. especially if we had doyle, vaughan etc

At the start of the season we were favs for a reason. To be honest if we can shot a few times each half towards that 24ft by 8ft target it will be a start.

 

Not sure he'd work for Rupp.

 

Don't get me wrong i think there are better candidates out there for the job, whether they would want to come is another matter. I'd prefer Nathan Jones but not sure we are on each others radar.

I think your wrong, he doesn’t carry round baggage he knows who sacked him, yes a Rupp had to give his ok, but he knew diddly or said he did.

 

Stuart would make an excellent Director of Football, and the club should follow his vision long term.

If someone like Warnock came in, the two would work well side by side, but I doubt Warnock would consider himself working 'under' Stuart.

 

Much better the other way round

 

Not sure I can agree Rupp was involved when Rahic wanted to sack him after Wembley, even asking him to resign/walk, and again Rupp would have given Rahic his OK for his sacking in February 2018.

 

Is Rupp selling, now that would be the perfect Monday.

 

I would absolutely take that - but long term, Stuart is more of a club man than Warnock - although I guess that doesn't matter too much.

Just feel like Stuart needs to be 'up top' and untouchable from future cretins (like Rahic).

 

i think he will have it in mind that he has served his apprenticeship in the lower leagues and deserves a better job than us, he's already taken on a rebuild job with luton and may think he deserves something bigger and better.

 

here we are.. excuses being made for him already and he's not even got the job yet.

 

We need someone we can all unite behind and, much as we all love him, Stuart as a manager divides us.

 

here's the thing, don't employ him again and the new manager doesn't get off to a good start and it's "we told you it should have been mccall." do employ him and he doesn't get off to a good start and it's "it's not his squad, he needs time, it's rupp and rhodes fault for not bringing him earlier."

 

There is no way I would want Stuart on his own yet again. However Stuart does get in and brings players together ideal as a number 2 but that same quality works against him when the chips are down and the whip has to be cracked
Not sure he would want to work under somebody else. In fact I am not sure he even wants to manage again.

I remember Grayson thinking like that and ended up with the Blackpool job. There'll be no shortage of applicants but expect they'll make a short term appointment till the end of the season. Probably with the playoffs in mind as @JonButterfield alluded to.

 

problem with short-term is come may / june we're scrambling around for a new manager, then players whilst trying to organise pre-season and we'll find ourselves behind again. we'll be having this conversation again in 12 months time.

 

Ive no idea what the answer will be, I'm still shocked at the timing of the sacking.
