So May, a remainer in charge of a Brexit leaning party is now reliant on Corbyn, a leaver in charge of a remainer(at least staying in a customs union) party.
    The humour is strong here.

Plus, we need to keep the British Army away from the pacifist Corbyn.
    You couldn't make it up.

Gonna miss Brexit when it all dies down, but we aint returning to normal any time soon.

I think your right I just can’t see the Tories surviving. There is a danger of a right wing party emerging

What was binding about it? where is the statute? the legislation? if that was the case you would have hard brexit by now. Our political system works in a particular way, democracy is not the same throughout the world.

It was in both parties manifesto's it was then voted on in Parliament that they would honor the referendum vote which made it madnatory and binding.
With regards hard brexit no it wouldn't it would have been discussed as it has been but the negotiations were done by a leavers, if the likes of Fox, Davies, Raab, had not been put in an uncomprimising position by May they would not have resigned and they IMO would have driven a harder deal.
How can you try and negotiate a good deal by taking your trump card "no deal" off the table, the negotiations have been a joke because it was being done in the later stages by remainers.
I would suggest democracy is our government taking note of the electorates will and acting upon it.

Just reading about the Yvette Cooper brexit delay bill that got through by one vote.
I find it rather ironic that Fiona Onasanya who wears an electronic tag in the House of Commons when she was released from prison. The shamed politician, 35, who was locked up for three months after being found guilty of lying to police about a speeding offence could have made the difference of it failing but hell that's democracy.
Will we have a second vote on that bill as it only went through with the help of this know liar, or will the democratic vote be taken at face value and passed on to the House of Lords.

Unfortunately the hard line Brexiteers fail to realise that we have a parliamentary democracy in this country and since the last election where the Tories lost there majority they can not achieve all of what they want. If they had voted for The negotiated deal we would have been out of Europe now. I now think there is a massive pressure building for a new referendum where there will be a big majority for staying in. And the Brexiteers will know it’s down to them

Doesn't matter one bit if leavers lose a 2nd referendum, we can justifiably claim a 3rd decider...

So we keep going until remainers are happy with the outcome? You know that's not how it works Park.

You seem to be missing the major sticking point of Mays agreement, that is the back stop, what Pro-Brexit supporters are deeply concerned with that the proposed backstop would leave the U.K. tied indefinitely to many EU laws.
So if we accepted the May deal there is no date to when we could leave, how can you say if we'd accepted the deal we would have been out of the EU by know is not true.

They would have had two years to sort that out and the country would be independent. Now there is not a cat in hells chance we will have a hard Brexit and even a soft Brexit is becoming less likely the Brexiteers have self harmed to the point of suicide

That's the whole point the EU have the final say and the worry is we will be tied in long term, just tell me how that can be brexit, leaving the EU single market and the customs union ?.

You dont get how the UK system works clearly, part of the reason why maybe people like you shouldnt be given a decision on these things. A politicians word is not LAW, the result of the referendum was not legally binding. No laws are broken if things dont change based on the result. Its really really simple.

People just assumed that once the result came in then that would be that. I bet you hadnt even heard of article 50 until after the ref. The reason why we havent left yet and will not leave in the end is that your side didnt realise that one simple fact.

Since you 'won' your side has been nothing but nasty, as though its now OK to call people traitors for having an opposing view. For handing out death threats to remain MPs. Calling remainers, remoaners or snowflakes is another classic insult. In other words youre not a bunch of gracious winners. And in all of that you have begun to lose the moderates.

Your side should have played a better game and realised 51% is no mandate and winning hearts and minds was the best tactic. Though, its good for us everyday normal folk who just want things to carry on as they were. So cheers for that.

Im a die hard remainer and I would prefer nodeal over a soft brexit. Soft brexit isnt brexit and its worse than a hard brexit because i dont want to be a rule taker.

Just remember remainers are passionate british people as well. I just dont think im any less british being in the EU than being out of it. In fact we are better off in terms of global influence as a head member of the EU.

But a soft brexit is good for nobody.
