Tonight's game was never going to tell us anything. It was a runabout and no one broke sweat. Avenue had a front man who has hair that is taller than him, who kept putting the boot in. We are obviously intending to play a possession based game, Kelleher has been on a diet and Staunton has eaten a lot of steak. Chapman is going to shoot on sight whereas we don't really want Eisa in a shooting position.

Harry Chapman scored with a very nice finish from the edge of the area. Kian Harratt walked one in. Matty Foulds looked good at left wing back or wherever he was playing. Abo Eisa was determined to trash some cars on Cemetary Road lol

 

Sadly yes. Though I missed the first 15/20 mins of the first half queuing to get in.

There was a lad in full City regalia taking photos with kids at half time but I didn't know who he was.

 

That was Odusina-had a quick chat with him. MH was VERY much a draw for him. He says he still cannot believe MH is his gaffer.

Yeah, I think a lot of the players who have come are here to work with Hughes - still kind of boggles my mind that the other three left, but at least two of them went up a division!

I got the feeling Paudie never really took to our fans, but I don't want to put words in his mouth. Just saw him reacting badly when fans were annoyed, etc

Bloody hell Dave. I've only just picked up on this. Terribly stressful for you all. Fingers crossed it's gone as well as it possibly could.

 

The saying "made for each other" couldn't be more appropriate than in this case Dave. It's a long road but they've made the best possible start. Best wishes to you all.

 

Have to disagree with you on this point. I think the club had been a mess during the whole time he's been with us. The vitriol towards most of the players (including him) was bad. The atmosphere inside the ground was as bad as its been in a while. I don't blame him one bit for wanting a fresh start. He was criticised heavily as being one tackle away from a red card (myself included), so on reflection it's probably the best move for everyone. There's no doubting he gave his all, including his front teeth, so good luck to him. I personally hope he does well. He owes us nothing.

 

Don't worry, once you grow up and start employment you'll understand.
