I listened to Morais on the way home and he got it spot on in my opinion. It’s not about formations or individual players it’s about doing the basics needed at this level it’s work off the ball closing down and earning the right to play football. Wallsall deserve a lot of credit they did just that and got a well deserved three points. We must take heed

First sentence I can’t agree with Jon, but Lewis has stopped doing the basics since game 1. Three or 4 times in ten games he’s been slow to get down to his left.

If a patched up side like Walsall have more movement in midfield we have problems that either need yet another transfer window or a new manager capable of getting a tune out of these players. It was alright at Newport they were as equally static if not more so than us. But week after week we lose the central midfield battle

Honestly RT, I’m not seeing that about McD compared to the rest. I’d have said he Halliday and perhaps Walker can hold their heads high tonight.

Exactly - get your biggest on their biggest, and the rest decide who they are marking. Leave at least one of ours up will necessitate them having to leave at least one player back - possibly two. We never do this - just get everybody back and let them pick their piece of grass to defend, (but don’t do it with any success).

Their fullback, fella who scored the goal, is a good player. The rest bang average, yet they beat us 1-3. Dunno how Hughes can even defend that. Just come out and say we got it wrong.

For once, I’d actually like to see some identifying tactics, because for the life of me, I don’t know what our plan is.

Same difference Park. I’m not blaming Sparks. MH and Gent have been provided with funds , irrespective of source . Yes?

I thought Halliday was our best today followed by Walker. I thought the rest were poor. We desperately need a player who can turn in midfield otherwise it just keeps getting laid back to the central defenders. Oyegoke tried second half with a lot of effort but he's never a central midfielder. I think Hughes actually realises it and why he chose Oyegoke over Smallwood. Instead of recruiting a mobile central midfielder we effectively purchased a slightly better.version of Smallwood. Yet both of those need movement around them. It's just all so painfully slow.

Can't disagree with your post but we have also had the likes of Terry Dolan, Paul Jewell, Chris Kamara, do a good job from within the club, now I'm not suggesting giving Mark Trueman another go but getting the right man in is a toss of a coin situation.

We had our two playmakers on the wing, all of our wingers off the pitch and Oyegoke in midfield. Can you get anymore clueless than that?

Halliday the best player for me today. I'd add Tulloch to the list of those who gave a good performance. McDonald hampered by lack of movement ahead of him.

Yes , my toys stay firmly in the pram, whilst sitting back reading the shock jocks. However the time is now for changes to be made. Sparks has to be ruthless . I think we may find MH will resign as opposed to being dismissed . That’s my call …we shall see.?

Today? Halliday was POTM by a country mile. Not that is a good thing but displays how utterly shocking we were.

That last sentence is absolutely spot on.

I know I digress , I watched Newcastle v Man City during the week. MC were fab going forward in the first half, absolutely terrific. Until the ball was given to Grealish . He wanted to toy with it, beat a man three times and all momentum was lost. That’s how I felt with Odour , he had zero confidence in beating his full back.

I said exact same to my lad as we walked away at full time. Hughes will resign so he doesn’t have a sacking on his CV, trotting out the garb how we deserve a manager who can bring success, and we’re a fantastic club who are massively underachieving etc etc etc
