So pleased for Chapman so many times he flatters to deceive, but a real handful today topped off with a magic strike, having said that all 3 goals were quality.

It's taken a long time coming but that performance is as near as were going to get with regards 90 minutes domination how Sutton kept it to 3 is beyond me, 3 quality goals, I didn't disagree with the MOTM award but several players were in the hunt for it, still not sure which of the goals was the best as Cooks wasn't easy but boy did the kid Chapman enjoy scoring his and got a great response from the 17,000 in attendance.
Can we get 6 wins on the trot if we can then we finish 2nd no help from anyone else required, still buzzing great performance guys. -
My heart sank when I saw Chapman was starting but he shoved it right up me today, well done

Chapman clearly much better wider where he can run at defenders.
It was great to see us getting the ball to Chapman and Banks as much as possible and letting them take on a defender. OK, they'll lose a ball or two but they created so many chances today.

That was as good a performance I can remember for a long time. Some great performances from a few players who were well overdue one, and massive credit to them.
Walker, Banks, Chapman and Gillead were really good. That’s before credit to Cook who just seemed to really time his step off the defenders to win a lot of what went up to him.
Banks goal summerised quality of Critchlow. It was his perfect dink ball onto Cooks head, nod down to Walker and onto Banks - it was a great flowing goal. A goal we haven’t seen anywhere enough this season.
Three goals. Hit the post twice when the keeper was beaten. Bravo Bravo to Hughes and the players for a

Really enjoyed that. The best home performance of the season. They actually played well in both halves for a change.
Banks, Chapman and Walker were excellent today.
Cook deserved his goal for sure, just when you thought it wasn't going to be his day.
More of the same please last 6 games and we have a right chance of autos.
Could do with Stockport having a blip though, they have had a very good second half of season, the only team I wouldn't fancy if it was to be the playoffs -
That was the kind of Hughes performance I expected at the start of the season at home. On the front foot, biting into tackles, creating numerous chances, slick interplay and goals. The confidence was there from the start and lasted 90 minutes. Repeat that performance and we won’t be far off…

Very honest assessment from the Sutton United Manager. -
Good to see there was nothing to the rumours about Crichlow being out for the rest of the season.

1 loss in 16. We are a hard team to beat. Handy for the play offs.
Home form improving too. Up to 8th in the home table.Rudie, Kop View, Rogered Tart and 4 others like this. -
We can never predict which City will turn up. Hopefully it’ll be an open game with Sutton knowing they need to win to stay in touch with the playoffs. If that’s the case and Walker, Banks and Cook are back on it, we have a chance. Nothing less than 3 points will keep our slim hopes of automatic alive.

Finally some proper attacking intent, it's not always been there this season, and though it doesn't always equate to more wins, I do think a bit more intent at times would have see us safely in the top three.
Looking at the table following the Easter weekend it makes Saturday's result all the more frustrating, especially when you see Crawley put to the sword today.JudgeMental, WIBSEY GAWBER, ahar964 and 3 others like this. -

Best performance of the season for me and a 3-1 loss flattered them ........ glad Cook scored last thing we need is him losing confidence ......... let’s just hope the fringe players coming in are about to step up to the plate for the rest of the season if they do then we will go very close to getting out of this awful league ..............Rochdale away another toughie but at least they have to come out and have a go which probably plays right into our hands

Well what a fabulous performance today. Should have been at least 6 and they wouldn't have been able to complain at that.
What stood out for me was the way we matched any aggression they had, snapped into tackles, won the ball back and attacked much more quickly by playing the simple out ball to Banksy and Chapman who both arguable had their best games in a city shirt.
We looked like a team that believed in itself and we now have our own destiny firmly in our own hands.
10 games unbeaten, up on the current form chart and firing on all cylinders.
Can see it getting tasty at Rochdale next week so we need to keep our composure and emulate todays performance and we will be another step to auto spots.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Spenny, Ollylondonbantam, Petrov and 2 others like this. -
Here ya go guys/gals, still not sure which was the pick of the goals, I do think the way Cook was being chased down by two defenders knowing he's not the fastest to jink them both and then smash it beyond Rose is my pick.
