Cook is reasonably pacey if we can get him away. But I think this might be one where the wingers need to provide the bulk of the threat, as Cook is likely to get kicked from pillar to post. Still, Tranmere tried to do that, and he scored twice...

Whoever starts on the wings REALLY needs to be on their game tomorrow. No excuses. If they're on form, they can also pin the wing backs back and really pen Stevenage in.

I'm hoping Odusina starts, as Crichlow was suffering from the kicking at Tranmere.

I hope Hughes has a think about it because if we play as we have for the last couple of matches it will be Cook up against 3 big central defenders and we know Piergianni doesn't mess around. It will be a tough match for him without some help!

I've a strong feeling they'll start Bostwick too, but maybe in midfield.

Two generals in the centre of the park.

Let's hope we get it right, and Smallwood bosses Bostwick, and we support Cook properly as you say.

Like Tuesday this one will be a physical battle we need to win that in order to allow our technical players to take the game

The one game that Banks was poor was the Walsall game.
Once he knew he was getting nothing from their bruiser of a left back(Monthe) he never looked like trying to go past him and looked a bit scared.
If fatty has done his homework and Banks starts he knows he has to move one of his bruisers on him.
I like Banks but if it’s a physical battle I don’t think he’s the answer.

Likewise you could say that if Hughes saw the Walsall game, Banks probably doesn't start.

Resting him on Tuesday would seem a bit strange if so.

    Not in my eyes.

Hughes said “I just felt given the physicality that we knew we’d face, it probably wasn’t the game for those two."

That doesn't mean they absolutely have to start the next game - especially when it's likely to be just as physical.

There's nothing wrong with two young lads getting a breather when we've got a squad as big as ours.

Wright has looked great in his two sub appearances, he might easily start, Angol could start, we've got tons of options.

    Not exactly.

They would like to make it physical. Evans would LOVE to make it physical. Imagine him - come on, we're all in this together, backs to the wall, we'll show them.

If we go in to fight with them then we play into their hands.

Start Wright for me and get at them with pace. Get ahead and stay ahead.

But if we go down that path we will struggle to out muscle them.

Think back to what Hughes said recently about "being dragged into games that aren't ours" and how we have to play our way. It's not heavyweight boxing!

Must get on each other’s back….He said “direct” , not airborne Park. Two different styles you must admit!

    Mind you.
If he's that good why has he been involved with so many clubs?

I imagine Songo’o might start in midfield next to Smallwood to add some physicality.

Not for the first time, I think you're missing the point somewhat.
