Northampton look leagues ahead of us. Doing the basics well together with the clever and decisive moments which is putting them in the position they’re in at HT.

Chapman should have done better at the start but outside of that Northampton should have definitely had two more.

Outside of Chapman and Banks i just don’t see any threat. It’s another one of those games where Cook shows his limits (I’m not blaming him BTW) and we don’t have a suitable replacement for him to offer anything more IMO.

As it stands, don’t see how we get back into this but forever hopeful.

I disagree - they have looked more incisive and clinical since scoring .

We score first and it would have been different. They weren't incisive until they scored. We had the better chances initially.

They are a very good , fluid side and 4-3-3 is killing us.
It’s like playing against 6 midfielders or 6 forwards in different phases of play.

Next goal will be crucial. Their only weakness seems to be right back.

 

They take quick free kick are quick to interplay between midfield and attack.

We are the opposite slow pondering passes in defence or aimless hoof from platt upfront.

Actually thought we played well until Smallwood coughed up the ball for their first. Second goal was shell shock. Cue crowd getting on the players backs. It doesn’t help. They played better than several games at home this season. Northampton took their chances still time to get something after they missed that 1 on 1.

This formation doesn't work at home. Never has really.
