Defense is settled now, decent keeper behind them. Midfield looks more organised with McDonald there but still think Oduor should be on the bench at most and Young has to start when back fully fit

I think Oduor's done OK so far. Tracking back and involved in both goals.

 

Would Oduor be on the bench if Richards was fit and Gilly back in midfield.
Or just keep Gilly at LWB?

 

Tell you what, Gilly for a right footed left wing back has been fantastic !

 

He is, but still a bit weak when in a tackle.

 

Their use of the ball is a more purposeful version of us last season. But then, they have better technical players in midfield than we had last season. Whilst they’re losing, and they’ve obviously got a couple of gears to find, you can see the nub of why they’ve been doing so well.

 

No way Smallwood is being benched so would keep him at LWB

He’s tailor made for a wing back role. And I like him on the left, he can invert and provide an extra man in midfield. A much, much better option than Ridehalgh.

 

Worried that this ref is looking closely at their corners as though he can't wait to give them a penalty.
