Well……how was that for everyone? Our defence was magnificant, it looks like Lucetti has been working hard with the lads. You get your defence right and that allows the forward players to get forward and score. The ref was absolutely appalling. Is that another ban for Smallwood? It is difficult to pick out any player to be honest just a hard working team performance. Kevin McDonald was our lynch pin, but Smallwood was also great tonight. Onwards and upwards for a change. All we can do is win the next match.

Traffic nightmare tonight (3½ hours to get up, 2 hours to get back home), so the 4-0 win was very welcome.

City got a jammy win against Wrexham and we are suddenly promotion contenders again. Our record before Saturday has been dreadful, most of the home games have been shameful.

This ref is bloody poor . It’s nowhere near a dirty game , it needs to flow and he’s spoiling it !

Some really pleasing aspects from tonights game.
Gilly ( I call him that I can never spell his surname correctly) had a really good game, I actually prefer him at LWB.
The whole team had a strong determination and drive about them.
I was disappointed in Young not starting, however GA got tactics spot on, MKD came to play their style and first half attempts to cut us open was met by excellent covering by the back three, particularly Tomkinson, who's pace stopped much of their threat.
The overall game of Walker was what I'd expect to see, he's carried on his form from Wrexham, taking pressure from his defence by coming out to collect the ball, great sound position for shot stopping, three clean sheets with him in goal is no coincidence. He's looking an upgrade on Lewis ( this season). Sound judgement
By Gent?..
And a huge plus, chances taken, hence not having to witness huge amount of time wasted by opposition, and most importantly taking pressure off the defensive side of our game.
Such a shame we've squandered so many points this season, as it's all a bit too later to be wiping the floor with quality sides like the Dons.
Hopefully a strong finish to the season may help RS shift tickets, I'll re-new without a doubt, not because Im some uber fan, but because I'm institutionalised into watching what they serve up, and what else would I do with my Saturdays, watch some premiership stuff on sky with a load of twats sat in Man Utd and Leeds shirts, fk that !! Well. Walking from Valley Parade tonight was very enjoyable tonight with a disciplined, hard working, team effort. The back 3 worked really well with Virgil Van Platt excelling though Tompkinson was excellent too, sweeping up so much of the swift MK attacks through the centre. The two wings backs were fantastic providing width in attack and very impressive in defence.
Smallwood and the excellent KMc were incisive in Thier pass, tenacious and both put real shifts. Certainly did their bit though a little overrun in the first 30 minutes.
Cook and Kavanagh took Thier goals well and we're a real handful as the game matured.
Lastly, I have been a real critic of Odour whom I felt lacked discipline, didn't get his foot in and the want to drive with the ball at his feet. Tonight though , quite the opposite and was instrumental in all our goals.
Hats off to the lad. I hope he can show that level more often. Credit where credit is due.
Just a good, disciplined, aggressive , cohesive team performance and a good dose of confidence both on and off the field.
Lastly, I bought some trainers t'other week and have yet to see us concede in 4 games that I have attended. Lucky City trainers? -

Well that was enjoyable.
Strange game to analyse really.
Franchise have a lot of very good technical players, but apart from one of their free kicks, never looked like scoring.
Good to see our lads taking their chances for a change tonight.
You can stick your 70% possession Dons, give me the goals anytime.
Sweet night for GA getting one over them for sure.
I thought Platt started off very shaky tonight with a couple of mistimed clearances but after recovering from that, excellent goal, and very good overall display.
Special mention to Gilly who was very good in that wing back position, what a season he has had.
Ref a joke, 5 bookings was it, and not a bad foul all night.
Let's hope we don't do our usual and stutter against the bottom of the league after two great results against top 6 teamsBudgie, Botswana Bantam, Inspector and 5 others like this. -
Well that was a fantastic performance, great togetherness throughout and really good teamwork. MK certainly wasn’t expecting that and massive credit to GA for masterminding a very sweet revenge for the loss at theirs earlier in the season
Now let’s capitalise for a change and wallop Sutton on Saturday, no reason we can’t repeat tonight’s result against a team what would have been a banana-skin up to recentlyInspector, Bronco, Keefly Bantam and 5 others like this. -

Every one of the starting 11 was 7/8 out of 10. Tomkinson was really cool and swept up any trouble. Great shape across the team and a nasty little edge to us. Sadly the ref was there for us to notice him.
Need to keep focussed for Sutton who will play a completely different game.
Despite the % possession I thought we were value for the win. Their first shot on target in the first half was that free kick on half time.
Walker is so calm and collected. Great save second half to keep another clean sheet.
And then the subs who could all argue a starting place. Though I think we may be too late to secure any sort of top 7 finish.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Wolfysmith, bantamdave41, Inspector and 5 others like this. -

The back 3 were superb AGAIN.
But what we had tonight was a left wing back in Gilliead who could match Halliday on the right for athleticism, attitude, and a footballing brain.
Macdonald creates space around him due to his quality and ability to pick the right passes, and up top we had pace either side of a slimmer Andy Cook.
As Kavanagh was the new guy and I've not seen him live yet, I kept my eyes on him and you know what, I'm very pleased with what I saw.
Good attitude to press, confidence and has pace.
Not everything came off for him but he will improve.
A little drop of the shoulder, fast feet and attempted dribble in the second half reminded me of, dare I say it and don't riducule me, Robbie Blake when we signed him from Darlington.
His size, physique and low centre of gravity, had all the hallmarks of Blakey.
Really hope he gets chance to improve.
