OK, we'll disagree on the injuries.

I would argue having four players out who could be in the starting 11 does have an impact.

Conversely, if we had Gilliead, Odour, Smith out instead of any three of the four you have named then there would be a stronger team.

I'm not condoning the formation, tactics, pattern of play though as per my previous post.

He never sets the team up to take a risk or gives his players license to take a risk.

 

Agree to some extent but even with a fully fit squad, the set up, style of football and lack of creativity won’t change. This is the way Hughes wants us to play. That’s his prerogative as manager and It got us into the play offs last year but it’s terrible to watch, and we’re always looking like we’re one misplaced pass away from squandering it.

We have to accept that with Hughes, this is the way it’s going to be or we try something different.

If we stick, then at best, we may have an outside chance of sneaking it through the playoffs.

If we change manger, anything goes. It could be brilliant, it could be a disaster. I’m usually one of the last to want a manager gone, but the way things are now, it’s a risk I’m increasingly willing to take.

This is Peter Jackson-era bad. Some of these players are non league standard.

 

In any given week, any team in the league will have 4 players who 'could be in the starting 11' missing. You're reaching. Cook is a miss, 100%. Pattison, probably too. But even then, in any given week you could easily see Hughes starting 3 from 4 of Smallwood, McDonald, Walker, Gillead, with Pattison being on the bench. Chapman is as likely to be on the bench than start and Oliver had started about 5 games in his City career.

This level of performance and result is not about unusual injury problems at all. Its a typical level of Hughes performance that doesn't have Cook bailing him out. It really is as simple as that. Anything else if just missing the real point.
