He was probably fed up with himself. I don’t want to talk to anyone when I don't live up to my own expectations.

Go kiss our goalkeepers backside for pulling off some blinding saves. Without him we'd be bottom 5 in the table. Lucky. X

Sorry to hear about your problems mate but not sure it was lucky overall Colchester produced the best chances until late in the game when we converted two of ours, that's not lucky persivering for the full 94 minutes in today's case which in the past we've accused Bradford City of not doing.
Both goals were quality especially Cooks header, when you consider the lad didn't win many headers today against 6'3" Kelleher, when will the odd few realise Cook is the best natural finisher we've had since Nahki Wells and Peter Thorne before him.

Without a goalkeeper id say we'd be bottom with a - 89 goal difference. Fortunately FA rules allow us to recruit and use a goalkeeper. Thank f for that!

Watching the highlights on Sky, Cook’s work winning the ball and carrying it forward before setting up Banks was excellent. Seen him win a ball on the touch line and create a goal a few times this season.

Spare a thought for the guy today who told me and my family were in his seats (we moved immediately) but he continued about his seats so I told him to sit down and enjoy the match which made him angry. Great win, but some pathetic fans we have at City trying their best to cause a problem

No he didn’t, he sat on the roof next to a block of the sun win, removed his boots shin pads and socks, watched for a bit then got something from inside and was back outside. Stop making crap up
stop being a wally. He didn’t throw the armband on the floor and stomp off, he throw it to a team mate and got off the pitch as soon as possible, midland road side. Walked round to the changing room area got rid of his boots and joined the lads. Nothing looks the O’Connor situation. Stop making crap up
? Good keeper but some for the camera

Hoping Derbyshire will be back on the grass after our midweek game at Walsall with a view to how near he is come next Saturday Hughes says in his pre-Colchester interview so not far off I would think.

Read many thoughts on todays game within this thread suggesting Colchester were time wasting from the off, now I personally don't believe this to be true, yes fully agree they were slowing the game down at any opportunity, but I'm pretty sure this is not a tactic to time waste especially from so early on, but more of a tactic to frustrate the home crowd/team and potentially as a result open up an opportunity on the back of this.

I do agree with your comment about Colchester trying to get the crowd on the players back but when does slowing the game down become time wasting there keeper and full backs were at it from the first dead ball at their end.

I knew some idiot would comment on this and you win the price. Halliday clearly fired towards Lewis and it didn’t go as far as he wanted. Still, the armband he wasn’t wearing has more brains than you but I hope you enjoyed the crayons at half time

    No it's there :
Maybe I'm wrong but I think teams time wasting from so early on know it's pretty much pointless as there's so long to go but use it as a frustration tactic, get the crowd on backs and maybe draw in a few rash fouls resulting in yellow cards.
As I have said in others posts I thought the referee didn't have a clue shown by his rediculas one minute added on at the end of the first half.

A question that needs asking. I just thought they weren't in a hurry. I don't think the time wasting was as bad as people are making out. People tend to judge these things on their own agenda. If we were playing a big club in a higher division away there is no way we would class these actions as timewasting. The refs can't win tbh. They need guidance on time wasting. A maximum time limit might help. Just because we want them to get the ball back in play quickly does not mean that they're time wasting.

Its interesting to go on other teams forums after we play them. Colchester fans saying the ref gave us everything. It's the same on every forum after we win. When we lose we do exactly the same.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Smallwood that threw the armband on the floor, it was the player he gave it to who threw it towards Lewis.

Unless I'm mistaken, which barely ever happens, and I'm not sure is even possible.
