He still does have a bloated squad and he has now used every player but hasn't a clue how to best utilise any of them as individuals or a team.

He looks like a man desperate for a win and is just throwing anything in way of shape and formation to try get a result.

He ended the game with four forwards on, but no plan on what to do with them. He put them on for the sake of it.

It's exactly how and why he was sacked at Milton Keynes

He has fallen into sparks mode already and contradicting himself in regards to interviews compared to what we actually see in terms of results.

How the hell he thought Jake young upfront alone was a good idea, play to his bloody strengths for crying out loud.

Just heard him on the radio, working hard but it's just not falling for us in the box. What didn't fall for us today? Apart from a couple of long range shots there keeper hasnt been worried all day and I fail to recall a single clear chance we created.

Radio Leeds bleating on about how impressive we were defensively, so we should be, we had five bloody defenders on the pitch and two holding midfielders, it would be worrying if we weren't.

Bugger all happens in our games, they drift into complete nothingness, it's boring, the teams crap the atmosphere is crap, the traffic getting home is crap. It's a wonder anyone bothers

You watched a different game to me. It wasn't as bad as the last few games, but it was still pretty poor. Aside from the first 15 mins, it was a drab affair.

You are easily pleased if you thought that was an enjoyable watch.

Bright first 15 minutes, 75+ minutes of boredom after that

We defended well when we had to though.

So dropping Cook was a performance related decision but Smallwood consistently stays in the starting 11.

    OK Graham.

Typical negativity from a city fan.
Stop focusing on the 75 minutes of pure unadulterated tedium and let’s embrace those 900 seconds where we really looked like a team 18th in the arse end of football.

If you can do any better buy the club and install yourself as manager.

I'm not sure if Walkers contract is up at the end of the season or not, but it's time to cut away. We just haven't had value for money or the performance levels that were on show during his first season with us, where he looked a cut above most in the league at that time. Looking back, when you consider that side from the end of Hughes first season, 5 players stood out and the rest of the squad were bang average. O'Connor, Watt, Vernham, Walker and Pierera. The football was the best we'd seen in a while and had us on the front foot most of the time. I suppose the end of that season told us a lot about Hughes and should've been a warning. He again completely went away from what seemed to be working, when a similar approach with better players might have seen us in league one today. Something he did again to his detriment 12 months later.

If we release Smallwood too, I'd imagine the wage savings will be quite considerable and should allow GA to bring in younger more reliable players. The time has come to stop recruiting players with a history of injury issues (although we've been unlucky with Pattison) regardless of their alleged quality. It's no use being the best player in the physios room. We seem to have lost so many key players for considerable lengths of time. Is the medical department really up to the job? Walker, Chapman, Oliver, Pattison and Macdonald all had lengthy spells out and when you don't have strength in depth, you end up around 18th in league 2.

GA has been here for a while now and he seems nowhere near deciding on a consistent approach to dealing with the players he's inherited. Every game sees a different formation and different players in different positions. What exactly is he trying to achieve? How does he really want to play? Does he have a favoured system? I sympathise with him because he's inherited a disjointed group recruited by his predecessors but you'd have thought he could have brought a little of bit of coherence by now. But he seems to be exactly like the previous journeymen who travel from club to club achieving very little. How did he envisage Wright fitting into the team? Does he think Kavanagh is a wide player? And does he really think Young is a target man? It's all, yet again, mystifying.

Kinda wanted to get this one started because, call me crazy, but we should be able to raise a half-way competent team for this one.

    -------------------Cook-------------------

    -------Young-------------Chapman---

    Richards--Gilly-McDonald--Halliday

    --------Kelly--Platt--Tomkinson-------

    -----------------Walker-------------------

Young and Wright both have it all to prove, and Chapman looked good last night.

Smallwood could use a rest for a while, though he's interchangeable with McDonald, and while the back 3 are all also interchangeable with players like Stubbs, that line up doesn't look too bad.

Alternatively just play Chapman behind Cook and Young.

With Tyler Smith on the bench, and Bobby Pointon (who GA admittedly doesn't seem to rate at all), there should be enough options to start getting at teams.

I can't remember a time when we could bring players like Smith, Pointon and Tyreik Wright on. Our attacking options off the bench have, at times, consisted of Osadebe and Derbyshire...

Get Walker back fit, and it's looking quite a bit healthier - but I'm not convinced GA can be relied upon to select/get the best out of them all.

If Alexander does not drop Taylor , Smallwood and Odour as a minimum then he has totally lost the plot. The players on the bench that would replace them have proved that they are better .

I think they were checking if they needed a team to actually get the ball into the net before they finished the match. Thankfully, the answer is "no"

    My view.

    Drab. Tepid.

37 roof panels on top of kop.

1 more bulb out on floodlights at TL Dallas end, making a Walker

Speakers could do with a spring clean

2 advertisements in the ground out of sync to rest of them

Why did I get bullied by my son to watch that ?

90 minutes of my life I will not remember deliberately

    Spot on !!!!!
Imagine saying to your boss I've worked 2hrs now and am tired so going home
Get rid of anyone not fit (barring injuries) they obviously don't want to be here
That goes for the "old man's" club too if you can't do 90 minutes you ain't getting paid your full wage !!!
Weak leadership and clueless recruitment springs to mind

8 games without a win, 5 points out of the last 24 and still, STILL we are only 7 points off the top 7. It just goes to show how absolutely sh!te this league is and how it is there for the taking for anyone with balls big enough to go for it.

Wish people would feck off with the ironic cheering of Smallwood. Doesn't help anyone.

He may not be on form but who is? I doubt Cook would receive the same treatment if it was him instead coming off.

Smallwood needs to go, he has been really disappointing most of the time he has been here, cant even say he has looked like he is enjoying it either.

Smallwoods inclusion coupled with Pointons omission justifies my boycotting games.
