He signed for Swindon on 2nd August, and hasn't played for us. The only thing to stop him being sold elsewhere is to bring him back and play him.

Bring him back on 1st Jan to stop Swindon playing him on new years day. If they can raise enough to buy him (and we should put at least £250,000 on his head as we got £100,000 for Doyle who only had six months left on his contract) then consider selling to them after we have sussed out who else wants him.

There is nothing to gain by leaving him there as he will be back.at the end if April anyway.

He's our player and we need to 'own' what happens in January.

I just can't see him fitting in and it wouldn't surprise me if we had another Doyle scenario.
We can't afford to be in a scenario where Swindon are calling the shots. If we play him, then that's what happens.

 

I am not sure that our centre backs are any slower than most in our division.If you are a guick,ball playing defender,chances are you won't be playing in league 2.

 

From the clips I've seen of Swindon he seems to be playing in a two up front, rather than coming in off the left like he was under Hughes, so it seems the system will suit him better than it did before he left

 

Its a very simple call. He is banging in goals and we lack in numbers up top.

the way the team is playing at the moment is a pressing game which means on occasions we are going to have one on ones and we made some good saving tackles yesterday. We will concede more but we should score more playing that way
