Rough count on the ticketing site there seems to be less than 1000 sold so far.

I might go depending on who the new manager is and the weather forecast!

How can they justify selling tickets for this game at £15/adult, but the stupid pointless pizza cup match tonight (which will probably attract less than 10% of fans at the Wycombe game) are only a fiver?? Given that the FA Cup prize money is worth a lot more, surely it would make sense for it to be the other way round!

Both teams have to agree on the pricing for the FA Cup. I presume Wycombe want a higher price.
I suspect City would have been quite happy with £10.

It's up to Wycombe to agree the price too don't forget. They probably presume we will get the same crowd regardless. They also won't care if we get 10k in at £5 or 6k in at £15. They don't reap the rewards of more bums on seats

The price also has to be agreed with the visiting team and they might have opposed it.

The FA would love that, us undervaluing their premier trophy, over the tin pot piss pot pizza trophy.
We have to get agreement from Wycombe as well, but i probably would have done it at £10 if all parties ok with it.
Me and the lad will be there, but we are both brain dead when it comes to City.
Might see you Saturday then Wakefield.

They do, after running costs , anything left is split 3 equal ways i believe. the two clubs and the FA .
So more tickets sold the bigger your cut.

Only if the price is higher. 3,000 at £10 is the same as 2,000 at £15.

It would be hilarious if the gate is really low, and would just show Sparks the dissatisfaction in the way he is running the club.

I will be amazed if we get more than 1000 tonight, Saturday i could see it being sub 5000 , probably around 4000+ , unless something wonderful happens in between.

After the shenanigans of the last 2 games, i've decided i'll be going to neither of the next 2. But my lad is going to both, and I have told him he must be puddled :joy:

I'm still giving the Unsponsored Trophy matches against under 21 teams a wide berth, but I'll be up on Saturday for the Wycombe match.

It’s strange how interest in the FA cup has changed. In the 1970s we’d be getting about 4,500 for Saturday league games but then when the FA cup came round the crowds would leap to about 6,500. I suppose we had few season ticket holders in those days and people just paid on the day and if we were having a poor league season they’d be up for the cup.
