Tinker man has caused this, most of these players are his signings. Do the right thing and WALK. That absolutely pains me to say as he's a great guy, but would you go to your ex bird for the third time!?

 

For sure there would have been boos at the final whistle today. Terrible performance. Did we even have any clear cut chances? Samuels with the header, Clarke with the challenge on the keeper. That's all I can recall.
Once again, our midfield just disappears. Watt starts games well, but then goes missing. The only reason I knew Cooke was playing, was on around 75 mins, he made a massive *@?$ up, but managed to regain possession. The only reason I know DMH is playing, because he has ridiculously neon boots. Perhaps that's why he wears them, because he doesn't do anything else with them.
Was Lee Novak playing today? Remind me. I knew Guthrie was, because he was useless.
Samuels on the wing and then binned off at half time. Classic. That's another poor lads confidence gone.
Good of OD to rally his troops all game. Oh wait. He can't do that.
Donaldo coming on as sub with twenty mins left. Must have sent a shockwave of fear through the Newport defence. Not.
Macca up in the stands like a Twit. What's he doing that for?

Awful. Can't remember such a pathetic performance in a long while. Not the result, but the desire.
I'm pretty sure he's gonna get mad again at the interviewer. Why can't he see it, when we all can?

McCall blaming himself today. What irks me though is that it sounds like he wrote this game off from the start as one we would probably lose due to Newport being a good side. Pathetic!

 

My memory is fine. Ramsden is better than French by a distance. Oliver at CB is better than BRE by a distance. Omar Daley or DMH? Lets have a think. Christ I'd have Jake Speight over Guthrie.

 

I agree. People are also thinking im defending Guthrie. I'm not. I think he's rubbish,but I think most of our team is rubbish but weirdly we always turn on one player.
Guthrie is bad but he's on par with the likes of Cooke, who seems to be getting a free ride becasue he didn't come from Stevenage.
I've spoken about the fans needing a scapegoat for a few years now as it happens constantly. Feel free to bash Guthrie but you also need to bash the other 5-6 under performers.

 

For goodness sake McCall, why the hell do you worry about what formation the opponents are going to play - when at bloody home?? Let them worry about what we are going to do ffs. No wonder the fans are slowly turning against you (again). What about the Bolton and Barrow games? Are you going to piss about with formations again???

 

Only just had a chance to see the goals and short highlights, what a shambles. Absolutely all over the place. The players are fortunate there are no fans in the ground because I dread to think what the reaction would be throughout the match. Some of these players shouldn’t be anywhere near this club, never mind the squad. Ever since AOC joined this club, the defending has been atrocious. BRE, French, DMH are National League at best. What hope have we got with that lot?

I can only hope the minimal investment in the team is not only down to the COVID crisis, but also because Rupp is selling up and doesn’t want to leave the next owner/manager with a squad fit for the bin on long contracts.

We are going nowhere.Early days in the match, but I'm reluctantly losing interest in a Club I've followed for since the 5o's.

 

Not a single positive. McCall trying to be too clever yet again with a formation and personnel that don't work. We are genuinely clueless all over the park.

 

A quite terrible defensive performance.

For all the possession on the ball, there’s virtually no substance to it. Never at once do I get excited when we get near the oppositions box that we will do anything with it, in today’s game or any other. What a miserable team we are to watch.

 

When they defend they do it with 9 men, when we defend we don't.

Such a huge disconnect right across the pitch.

 

Possession means absolutely nothing.
